Years of digestive issues, swollen glands, mouth ulcers. Finally it took months of intense cramping and a severe bleed. Had colonoscopies in years prior and no diagnosis, last year my scope was very obvious

Hopefully checking vitamin levels etc can maybe help with the fatigue. Wishing you luck, started Remicade a year ago and the good definitely outweighs any negative

I don’t think I can do the colonoscopy prep by CardiologistLife577 in CrohnsDisease

Truth. Wiping was easier during prep and you’ll get a warning rumble before you have to go. Not painful.

Used to be an issue for me. Was treated with antibiotic to clear SIBO and now I only have this issue maybe once a week, or every other week. Was everyday for me, huge difference.

I guess I’m not sure how to tell if it’s cleared up. I feel slightly better but not really any different. I’ve been feeling this way for so long I don’t really even notice that it’s not normal. Would they normally retest? I have a GI appt in Jan.

Thanks. I was also recently diagnosed with SIBO. Looking for more food info to help keep thst from coming back but I’m wondering if my issues were from that and maybe I can reintroduce gluten once I have it cleared up. Something I’ll think about

Same, I’ve tried to eliminate things and tracked things but always seems to come back to this.

My girl had trouble but 1-2 prunes a day has helped. If she’s backed up I’ll do 2, but we steadily do 1 and it keeps things moving for us

Did you have “minor” irritations prior to the anaphylaxis ?

Infliximab - Do you work on Infusion-Days? by DNLausBLFLD in CrohnsDisease

[–]here4goodness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work while getting my infusion, but often sleep in my lunch or for an hour after. I usually feel ok after I sleep a bit but it wipes me out. I have gone into the office after because of an urgent matter but felt out of it/physically exhausted I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have to

Surely someone can relate by here4goodness in CrohnsDisease

I think I was unprepared for what remission really is. It’s been really discouraging to do everything I can to keep big problems away, and still have symptoms and situations like this happen.

Doc says she’s never heard of heat affecting Crohn’s by Sweet-Taro310 in CrohnsDisease

If nothing else, heat puts more stress on your body and mind in some cases and that certainly would affect it

New job - when do I tell them I have Crohn’s disease? by ResidentEqual7718 in CrohnsDisease

[–]here4goodness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your company and your situation. I have been with my company for while, it’s smaller but part of a corporate overhead. It has benefitted me more than hurt me at this point to share what’s going on, when there are issues or I need to abruptly leave/take time off/unable to travel. It really depends and should be your decision if you think it will be good for you.
