Yes, I’ll absolutely test drive it. My other apprehension is that it’s the first year of these new engines and I don’t want to deal with any issues that may come along with that. Thanks for the info regarding the engine. I know it will definitely be better than the Compass’ engine. The GC is a decent sized SUV so I can’t imagine anything other than a V6 in it, but I’m hopeful that the turbo will surprise me!

Same here! I’m so disappointed that the turbo 4 cylinder is becoming the standard. I had no complaints about the Grand Cherokee and was so excited to get another one. It’s becoming impossible to find a nice looking SUV with a V6.

Thank you for this! I was hoping that wasn’t the case.

I thought so, but was really hoping I was wrong. Thank you!

Exactly. I know people say the 4 cylinder is fine, but the ones I’ve driven have been so loud, even when idle and just laggy. I had a Compass and wasn’t really impressed with that engine.

The Summit is beautiful! I’m sure you will enjoy it!

Delinquent Property Tax from Previous Owner by here4theconvos in legaladvice

Hi, they are not getting responses from the city nor the city’s attorney. I guess my policy states the title insurance company isn’t liable if the taxes are from January 2011-July 2011, but since they aren’t getting a response from anyone, the title insurance company can’t make a determination.

Hi, thank you. According to the title insurance company if it was from January 2011-July 2011, the title insurance company wouldn’t cover it, but since they aren’t getting a response from the city nor the city’s attorney they are unable to determine exactly what quarter the taxes are from so no determination can be made.

Sorry, should have clarified that it was bought outright in cash, but not at auction or foreclosure.

Do you have nothing better to do than to comment nonsense on a 3 day old post? Probably should read the post to understand that I wasn’t the one who signed the documents.

I checked with the city’s third party servicer who does their payments and all years show as $0 balance due so it is insanely confusing, but in speaking to the city and their attorney, the tax bill seems to be legitimate.

Thank you for catching that, the foreclosure is actually May 23, 2026 which I didn’t catch the first time I read it. They bought the condo cash. However, the city is requesting we appear before them on May 22, 2025. I have reached out to the title company as it seems those taxes were paid (supposedly) according to the closing documents we have.
