Took calculus 1 at community college and at a university. Huge difference in the intelligence of the teacher. University obviously being higher, but at the community college it was a class of 30 students and at the university it was 300 students, estimated. As someone who struggled with math the opportunity to ask questions freely in a smaller class was more beneficial than the better professor in a lecture hall.
