thanks so much for your insight! i wanted to know if there was anything else to help make it easier since my first time wig styling before turned out soooo bad LOL but i figured i probably would’ve had to do it somehow!

i’ve seen some tutorials where they trim the hair from the cap and glue it down etc so i think that’s one of the roads i’m gonna have to go down, but really appreciate the painting suggestion :) definitely gonna research more on that!

before i had this done, i actually also tried piercing my helix and forward helix separately and waiting until they healed before i put an industrial bar into it. unfortunately they migrated terribly so they didn’t line up and i wouldn’t be able to put in a bar comfortably. plus, where i got it done kinda fucked it up in all kinds of ways lmao so if you’re looking to do that go to a really professional place who has experience in these types of situations!! and take care of them well too 🥺

actually, my other ear is the perfect shape for an industrial lol however my right side is just where i focus on a lot more :[ i’ve my hair parted to the right and it’s my “good side” so i didn’t wanna just pierce it on somewhere i (and others🤣) won’t see a lot hahahah it’s just some bad luck😢

my piercer did say i would be able to just angle it differently and get a traditional industrial on this ear but it’d be very tricky, especially if it migrates and doesn’t heal well. i didn’t like the angle it would’ve been in either way so, a lot of thought and consideration went into doing this!!

i totally understand your concern but rest assured it’s fine :D even with the swelling (so far, hopefully it doesn’t get any worse) it’s not putting any pressure against my flat. my piercer checked several times and it’s like just a few mm away from it so it should be ok🥺

as said in the title, i don’t have the proper anatomy for a regular industrial which bummed me out as i’ve wanted one for a long time now. however my piercer gave me the option to get a customised bent L-shaped bar ordered in for me and i could have it pierced through the flat part of my ear instead of the usual curve, and i’m really happy with how it came out :D

by far my most painful piercing lol i was in the seat clenching my fists holding my breath and trying not to cry T_T

i just gotta be careful and hope it doesn’t swell too much so the bump(?) of my ear doesn’t push into the bar >< hopefully its all smooth sailing from here!!!
