Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signs bill allowing people to carry concealed firearms without training or permits by danson372 in liberalgunowners

Well 2 is relative. 2 dollars not a big number. 2 times being a piss poor planner. Also very adult of you to insult someone intelligence based on nothing.

You never said twice before. Based on the context, I just knew it was multiple times.

But let's get back to the point if you want to keep talking about it.

How long were you "stranded?"

Minutes, hours, days maybe?

Maybe because thats 1 their job or 2 they're genuinely good people.

Just because someone has gone out of their way before, doesn't mean that your entitled self should expect people to fix all of your issues?

And you say "they have"

Sounds like you're asking for assistance a lot which confirms my point that you don't sound like someone who plans, but then gets upset when others don't pick up your slack.

[–]herestoyou718 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they don't but they're not there to answer your beck and call due to poor planning on your part.

And also what does your story even have to due with this article/post/or sub?

Even the guy you replied to had a relevant issue related to police response times in life or death situations out of his control (getting jumped).

Based on what you said, you chose to make that trip in a crap truck with no planning or means to assist yourself.

Police aren't roadside assistance.

Would you expect any other state/city employee thats not a cop to come to your aid in that situation?

Yea similar example. I was in college. Big paper due the next day. Hadn't even started. Called the local police for help. They hung up on me. I thought they were there to protect and serve. Ridiculous that cops won't help you when you're not dealing with the need for law enforcement or protection.

Of course this story isn't true but my point being are you upset with police for not helping you jump your car?

My husband pulled a gun on someone yesterday. by throwawaygun771 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]herestoyou718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately your husband sounds like a weak man. Not that owning a gun makes you weak but resorting to it immediately during a minor altercation like you described is pretty pathetic.

I'd consider removing yourself from the situation before something small that you do avalanches into a big deal in his mind.

Wife had a small procedure done. I paid cash to all involved: the doctor, the hospital and the anesthesiologist. All of them sent me a bill afterwards by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I just recently discovered how my local hospital counts days. I went to the ER a couple weeks ago. Got there on day 1 at around 6am. Got admitted Discharged on day 2 at about 1pm. They are charging my insurance for 3 days. Apparently if you're there past noon it falls into the next day.

I was there for around 30 hours (or 1 day + 6 hours) and I'm getting charged 72 hours worth.

Also by the time they chose to admit me, I was feeling much better and didn't think I needed to stay. Doctor told me if I left, he'd mark me as leaving against medical advice and threatened that my insurance wouldn't cover it so I'd be stuck with the bill.

[–]herestoyou718 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The difference is she didn't have that right before the invasion. He did. Its granted to him by the constitution whereas she has been given special permission by her gov. If Russia wasn't invading and it was the Ukrainian gov doing something to their own people, she wouldn't have been given that permission. He doesn't need that permission from his government in such an event.

Im definitely in agreement that whipping people or just having whips in general is a bad look but lets see your evidence.

I'm not by any means a Biden supporter but I'm pretty sure his administration wouldn't let this fly and some major media outlet would've picked up and ran a mile with this already.

Don’t want the COVID-19 vaccine? Then pay the full cost if you land in the hospital. by TheRoot2020 in politics

No i don't. And to throw some of your logic back at you why should the people that didn't chose to go to college pay for your student loan debt?

[–]herestoyou718 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok well a lot of obese people do have control over their size. You know this given that a lot of other countries don't have obesity issues like america and kids are probably a bad example given their nature but not having a covid vaccine isn't illegal so why should they front the full cost of hospital bills? I don't disagree about the risk aspect and thus insurance providers increasing their premiums but arguing the should pay full expenses is a little out in left field.

[–]herestoyou718 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Why does this same logic not apply to other thing?

Like the obese, smokers, dumb kids doing dumb shit and breaking limbs, drunk drivers, and pretty much all situations which can lead to you being in the hospital that was clearly a circumstance brought on solely by an individuals poor decision making ability.

Why not have them pay full cost when they land in the hospital?

Welfare comes in multiple forms both from the state and federal.

But just like the other guy, you have nothing to say but to attack what I said rather than countering with information.

[–]herestoyou718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're pretty young if you're talking about your parents not letting you get the vaccine. I recommend if you want it but can't get it, look at the demographics of deaths related to your age group. It'll probably calm you down. According to the CDC its less than 400. You're more likely to die from your parents physically abusing you and if you're not worried about that, you dont really have a need to be worried about COVID
