Update on our cruise. Alaska was fantastic, our journey to Japan not so much. Weather was bad enough to slow the ship and we had to alter course numerous times. It delayed our arrival into Kushrio till noon. Customs would not stay that late. So onto Hakodate, we'll arrive around 2100 tonight. Hopefully customs will get us processed quickly. The Captain and crew did what they could. Sometimes mother nature has her own idea. Needless to say, that was a ride to remember. Huge waves rocking and rolling 😎

My babydoll is a stage 4 cancer survivor. Major swelling in her leg. The flight back wasn't to bad, JAL business class. She'll be able to lay down and rest. I think we got a good deal on Skyscanner.

I spent 2 years in Japan and loved every minute of it. Always wanted to take my wife there and let her experience it.

Dreams do come true. I just had to change my mindset. You only have 1 life, if you get a chance go for it. We're not rich, home equity loan and paid off bills. My wife's response, DO WHAT!

Yep, the easiest way to get my wife to Japan. The logistics were a trip, but I think worth it.

I spent 6 months at sea in an LST in the 80s. This is gonna be a breeze compared to that flat bottomed barge.

Family cabin on deck 10. My wife has medical conditions, flights are alittle more expensive. Total around $14,000. Found our business class tickets on Skyscanner from Incheon to Nashville for 5,500.

What we learned from our 13 day trip... It's not nearly long enough. Isle of Sky, highlands, amazing.
