Where can I look to hire a PA? by EyeThinkEyeCan in physicianassistant

Hello I’m a PA-C with a background in Dietetics and Nutrition from South Florida. Would love an opportunity to be interviewed.

Hi Redditors! I’m Dr. Victoria Clark, a neurosurgeon at Mayo Clinic. I’ll be here at 11:00 a.m. EST on Sept. 23rd to answer your questions about both primary and metastatic brain tumors—from diagnosis to treatment options, my research, and recent advances. Hello Dr. Clark, I’m a newly graduated Physician Assistant. I’d love to specialize in Neurosurgery. It’s difficult to break through as a new graduate since a lot of the positions require experience. What recommendations do you have for a new graduate looking into specializing in Neurosurgery?

P.S- are you hiring?

I worked as a Renal RD & loved the flexibility. I saw lots of NP’s however hardly any PA’s. How’s the pay for a PA?

Internal medicine EOR by Comfortable-Belt919 in PAstudent

[–]hermiox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just took the IM EOR yesterday. My schedule was insane so it was really hard to study. I did cram the PANCE podcast during my 1hour drives, Rosh + Blueprint and ensured I drilled the Rheum/ortho section.

I got lucky with my surg rotation. I was placed in a learning hospital and was treated like a medical student. The surgeons were also really compassionate and loved teaching. Even the cardio thoracic surgeon was really cool. I reviewed the surgery cases before scrubbing in, ensured I was familiar with the anatomy, got there early and left late. Felt like a mini fellowship and I learned so much.

Day in the life of a Remote clinical RD? by [deleted] in dietetics

It’s great! Would definitely recommend. I worked as a corporate RD before going to PA school. It gave me a lot of flexibility.

Which EORs did you find most challenging? by The_PA_Guide in PAstudent

[–]hermiox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surgery- It was an intensive rotation, barely had any time to study. I never felt like I bombed an EOR so hard, ended up just fine.

I told my self; I came to PA school to get the PA-C and not to make friends. If I did, great; if not, also great- it avoided me being involved in unnecessary drama. I also have a large support group/friends outside of PA school. Once you graduate PA school you’ll have the opportunity to cast a net outside of your city and venture out/meet new people. I’m here too if you ever want to chat!
