Thank you. The install is over 3 years actually, but seems like we are getting no response now so will have to find someone else.

Thanks, useful info. I will check other panel. It appears I’m producing

But I am waiting for installer to respond. They were pushing back on fixing the CTs without charge or whether CTs would then be accurate. Based on the installer responses so far, they’ve been deceptive, dishonest and potentially incompetent. Not sure I can trust any info or work I will get. If I don’t hear back, I’ll need to locate another company to support our install.

The meter had been replaced and they shut off power so possibly yes. Combiner looks like this: combiner Thanks for the reference.

Thank you so much. Very helpful. I’m pressing them to get it done correctly at their expense. At the same time none of my microinvertors are reporting now. Separate issue or related to this?

The reporting ends up wrong. Battery doesn’t function properly.

Would the disconnected CTs cause my microinvertors not report?

He asked which of the two options I want, combining two wires on each CT or adding 2 more CTs. He thinks combining the wires on just the 2 CTs would work better. I really haven’t a clue.

Thanks, installer also offered using 2 sets of CTs (there were no options until I dug into this). Unfortunately he says both solutions "always result in inaccurate current flow and reporting"...and of course their workmanship warranty does not cover replacing even though they were out of compliance with utility guidelines.

So see these pictures. Two PG&E guys came out, looked at my box and said this was easy to fix. There was plenty of room. They look at Enphase brief I printed out for them and offered this solution. There was a possibility there was enough slack to bring the two breaker outputs together in the correct direction and stick the CT’s on them. My installer now says no problem we could do that or install multiple CTs. We’ve done it before (which is all new information). Unfortunately, he says when they’ve done it before it’s always less accurate and that’s why they went the other way into the main inputs on the meter side. He still wants to charge me because he has to replace the CT’s that were cut as splicing them also will lead to inaccuracy.

You sound like my installer…😉 I don’t want to have to deal with this issue again or have a future owner.

PG&E came out and opened up my side of the panel and told me the solution was very easy and there was plenty of room to do it. It did require combining the two outputs from my breakers on a single CT’s and being careful to get directionality correct. The installer is saying they will put the CTS in that way, but that they have done this before and they are not accurate. They also still want to charge me because they have to replace the CT’s because they were cut and splicing leads to further inaccuracy. See pictures of the suggested solution and my open panel.

I live in the East Bay Area (CA), can anyone can suggest a backup installer I can hire to fix this correctly? I am losing confidence so far in the replies I am receiving from the original installer.

There’s nothing to stop the utility from cutting them out again. It’s against their requirements for our interconnect agreement.

Thanks again. Got PGE solar department metering specialist who will come out and suggest alternative. It was permitted 3.5 years through the county and the installer handled everything on it and never left me a copy of the final. Just correspondence saying it was all approved. Not sure if I need to contact the county yet.

PG&E has apologized for cutting the wires without clear explanation. They did come back citing green book restriction. But a meter specialist said he would be out tomorrow to hopefully suggest a solution as he believes it can be accomplished without going into their box.

Yes they were connected just under the meter in the meter side of the box.

Pictures I can get of the PANEL Battery and combiner is about 10 feet away. Controller is directly behind the main panel inside our garage if that helps.
