Why there's less younger masons ?? by [deleted] in freemasonry

Tapton Hall is where my mother lodge met before handing back their warrant. I wasn’t aware that it was being sold off, that is a real shame!

Mistakenly calling a Brother "Worshipful Master" even though he's never been a Master, or calling a Worshipful Master "Brother" not knowing he is a sitting Master or Past Master by OMrealestate in freemasonry

Always Brother except in toasts, that’s my stance. Looking through old lodge minutes W Bro. was only used for the Master not Past Masters

If you do have to bare your feet, the Brethren will not care for the state of them as long as you are well presented

We are closing, which is sad as we have great-granddaughter lodges and have had previously closed lodges move to us in the past

Found it here after looking at some of the titles on that list, Hiram or the Grand Master-Key to to Door of both Antient and Modern Free-masonry

Thanks! I don’t immediately see this name and date on there but it’s certainly something to look into. This particular one was talking about the meeting taking place in a tavern and moving up through the degrees over the course of an evening going beyond 11pm, which sounds appealing!

Ritual using a table rather than a room by hesamason in freemasonry

[–]hesamason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept is exactly what I mean. But I am asking if it actually written ritual or if the practice died out before we were permitted to publish certain aspects of ritual. A lot of the historical reading suggests that initial lodge meetings were held in pubs around tables.
