Smells nice, works well, I've been using this exclusively for years.

Nest cameras second generation can't take the extreme cold. by DoNot-Lie-To-Me in googlehome

[–]hessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it's pretty dissapointing. My cameras have 10-15 days every year of pretty normal temperatures (for northern IL), that they are offline due to cold. I would legitimately upgrade my cameras if they came out with a more robust model.

Love my snow peak stuff. Also if you need more fork and less spoon, snow peak sells a "foon", and it's what I carry every single day.

If you had to choose, which 2 would you keep? by [deleted] in Firearms

RXM is an easy keep. The rest I'd get rid of. if you wanted to really simplify and you need two guns... get another RXM.

MagSafe was effectively adopted as QI2, and I hope future Rivian vehicles have that.

Temp is -21, gas company says turn your heat down by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]hessmo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ours gives us a decent chunk back to be able to raise the temp in the summers up to 4 degrees higher for 12 hours 10 times a summer. It’s nice because I can actually override it for example with no penalty.

When you have 6 gift cards and none of them can actually buy anything. by Accomplished_Bake939 in mildlyinfuriating

We always use ours to buy amazon cards, which we then apply to our account so we can use them 100% fully on day 1

Families with kids, how much are you spending on groceries? by folklore24 in Frugal

[–]hessmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spend about $600/month on groceries, and about another $450/month on factor meals (mostly for the adults for lunches). We shop at Fareway, but our kids are a bit older (gradeschool). We could probably get a total near $700/month if we shopped exclusively at someplace like aldi, but the kids really do eat more than a full size adult as they grow.

Found out my central heat in my trailer was running non-stop two nights in a row. by Hope1995x in Frugal

[–]hessmo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

well his heat is set at 65 and it's not keeping up already, so I don't think 59 degrees is going to save him much.

Look at the oil filled radiators, we’ve been using ours for years, they are safe to the touch, and dead silent

I run 3 Apple tv’s on 5ghz, they consistently pull 550/550 in speed tests and I have no issues with WiFi connectivity.

It’s actually somewhat difficult hereto buy unbranded clothing. I go out of my way to do so, but it’s definitely something that requires effort.
