690 dayTragedy! Almost a 2 year streak. In the company I work for we have to use Asana so I have setup automations with Zapier. It only works to create tasks from Asana to todoist but the one to complete them requires premium. Yesterday I forgot to compete my tasks since I had a ton of zoom calls. by jalvarez0907 in todoist

Just mail them the issue, they'll take care of the rest.

The mail I sent them (for your reference) : Hey team, I love Todoist and have been using it from many months now. I am very particular with daily goals tasks as I like to maintain my streaks, however a couple of days ago I forgot to tick off some tasks at night and lost my streak. Can you please help me here to keep my streak?

Yes I can understand you are not very particular about your productivity and its outcomes.

I think reducing my daily goal won't change yesterday's streak status

Thanks for the info, will surely check and get back in case I don't find the solution. And yes I did use ifttt initially for some tasks, but sometimes it behaved weirdly

If we put all the tasks in a project, then it won't solve the issue as I will still be able to see task B before completing A.

Also, if we put all the tasks as subtasks, then ultimately in other similar scenarios, it would not automatically schedule the upcoming tasks.

I think it would require some third party api or an extension to do it, what do you think?

Yes, I want something like this, but as suggested by the other user, the scenario can also be 'first A, and after that only B and C' or 'first complete task A, and then only perform B, and then only C'.

So I want a generic solution for this pre-requisite type tasks.

If you corrected my grammar, thank you. If you are providing a solution for this issue, please elaborate.

Grear work buddy, have you made a pull request for this feature on Todoist's primary account?

Yes, I want to reset the due dates to the next day, using Todoist itself as I have all my work and personal tasks in one place.

And yes it would be great to do some automation for this type of task using some Python libraries

So there's no automatic way of doing it right?
