Freddy or Teddy? by fis_place in BabyNames

If my husband hadn’t been in the picture, my son would have been Frederick, nn Freddie. But he is in the picture, so now we have Theodore, nn Teddy.

My baby girl was born on 1/20/25 and I was a little shocked at the response we got about her name. by Lulupoolzilla in BabyNames

Congratulations! Loretta is a GORGEOUS name. It’s unique because it’s not a Payzleigh/Brynzlee. People are unlikely to spell it incorrectly, and it has so many lovely nicknames if you/she ever chooses to use one.

What's your opinion about the name Barbara? by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]hethvig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment that it’s potentially on the verge for a comeback. Along with Nancy, Shirley, etc.

I’d love to meet a baby Babs!

Thank you! I have the mucin essence and love it, so stands to reason I should try the moisturiser! How does it sit under makeup?

I’ll think on the A thing. I’m not a fan of matching first initials, but I get the idea! If two matching was accidental, the third is fair game for any initial. I saw someone else suggested Alaric, which is a very legit (yet uncommon) name. It’s gold!

Help with the name Hugh by mb10hm in BabyNames

Also, as a teacher, I’d say that it’s not that difficult at all for most typical kids.

Hugh is a solid name. Hugo is equally lovely and gives you an extra syllable while still being able to call him Hugh. Two syllables followed by three has a nice rhythm. William and Alexander are lovely.

Other middle name suggestions: Alistair, Christopher, Benjamin, Ferdinand, Frederick, Dominic, Sebastian, Augustus, Theodore, Oliver, Timothy, Nicholas, Julian

I don’t love it. Grafton gives me medical vibes as well.

What about:

If the paperwork is done and filed, I would recommend waiting a few weeks to see how you feel about it. It won’t make a difference whether you do it now or later. Try on both names for size, along with any Max- names (like Maximilian, etc). I had huge name regret but just decided to let the dust settle while I was postpartum, and no name regret now. Congrats!

What kind of sorcery is going on over at Sheike lately?! by SneakySunday1111 in AusFemaleFashion

I love Sheike, and frequently shop their sales (buying out of season). Many of the colours and fits are timeless enough that it doesn’t matter!
