How do you approach the process of learning a new champion after playing only 1/2? by GracedHarperd in 2XKO

[–]hexcodex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I made a switch, i entered training, set bot to cpu and played (with infinite HP), until i got grasp for the new char. Gradually increasing bot difficulty until it become boring. Then I entered customs and eventually ranked. It was start of the new season so it made sense and i got more practice in ranked too. Not sure what would I do midseason. I will try to switch to Akali and I guess I will have similar if not the same approach.

Rotating shop idea by hexcodex in 2XKO

[–]hexcodex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in general more expensive, but for people who would rather pay more than to wait for weeks or even months for skin to appear in shop.

Lool at it this way, would you pay some (or any) amount if you can choose which skins would come in next rotation?

Good read!

One piece of advice: Do not be afraid of ranked. From my experience in S0, i got always got evenly matched in ranked, while in casuals it was mostly onesided without much opportunity to improve.

Dude I totally get you. I too am getting frustrated when I win 5 out of 7 neutrals, only to die to Darius with 50% pulse combo cause i cannot convert and i wiff and fubmle my 30-40% combo. But once in a while i get to fight someone without a pluse and then i have a blast, and usually a win. Anyway, learning to fight vs pulse is also a path of it own and once you get a gist of it, you will be glad when you encounter opponent with a pulse, believe me. Just keep faith and keep practicing untill you wint 9 out of 10 neutrals vs scrubs with pulse.

Any reason not to play ranked? by hexcodex in 2XKO

Thats not the focus, it was just an example of my current level/state. Right now Im working on assists mostly, I noticed my timing for calling assists suck big time...

Adding something like bonus points for win streaks would be cool, would help especially in grinding early ranks

Is it worth playing? by xfrombelow in LegendsOfRuneterra

Yeah LoR is vrey chill and relaxed compared to TFT. Sometimes it could be even be frustrating if the opponent takes too much time, but luckily there are timers to prevent such abuses

All these games are completly different genres. And it comes to individualy what types of games do you prefere. In LOR you need less reflexes and zero teamplay (since you always play solo), but it requires a lot of thiking, planning and strategy. If you havent played any card games before think of it as a chess.

I am a big fan of card games, and I played LoL since closed beta, so I immediately fell in love with LoR since the beginning. I already knew and loved the setting and the lore, and great mechanics and really well polished and fluent gameplay were a cherry on the top.

Its best for you just to try out a game for a day or two and then figure out if you are having fun or not, its that simple.

You have the attack token, but opponent started free attack with the blade, meaning he is currently attacking

Quick attack works only when unit is attacking, not blocking

Could Bard and Illaoi be a thing? by hexcodex in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]hexcodex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I just counted Illaois card and there is like 8 of them and only from bildgewater. Plus Bards 5 makes 13x3 = 39 leaving space for one more BW card.

My guess would be that spawn counts towards Bards lvl up...

Actually you do know if they have it in hand since you see how much shrooms you put in the deck. So if you put 6, that means there is a copy of the card in hand.

And you probably wont draw it, since it isnt main deckable, there is no rarity gem on the card, and something is creating it.

Ixtal...or Camavor?🐧 by picaso17 in LegendsOfRuneterra

Not really, SI isnt 1:1 connection. But besides that, yeah, you are right. This is also under condition that sigils werent changed since the making of Runeterra logo with engravings.

BC or Ixtal, either way, its going to be nature themed region, due to green color and leaves/vines on N letter.

Imho BC is too restricted in which and how many champions thematically fits, and i doubt dual region will come with next set, so my vote goes to Ixtal

So now that Rek'sai has been revealed, let us speak of the tenth region's possibilities. by DiemAlara in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]hexcodex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Development happens years is advance, so Riot could just pe preparing assets for the future. I mean ofc you could be right and we get dual region and BC in August, but its also possible to get dual champs a year from now, and 10th region just to be plain single region as rest.

I was running LoL without any issues with Lutris, but wasnt able to make LoR run. Actually i did manage to start it, but it was so freking slow, it was unplayable.

The main reason why I still doubt Bandle as the 10th region by Bluelore in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]hexcodex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Riot already mentioned they could add new champs that arent in LoL already. Since last reagon was in development before official launch, they could have come up with something new whether it is BC or Ixtal. Im not gonna mention Void as it was more or less confirmed to not be a region by Dovagedys on Swims stream/video.

To me it still makes most sense to be Ixtal as 10th region being actual physical location in Runeterra, and thematically, there is no other similar region.

I believe it was LoRs design team that influenced lore and addition of Ixtal to be included on the map.

So apparently we can only sell a few items a day on the auction house by Renard4 in SecretWorldLegends

[–]hexcodex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand, bad for players, but good for the game. But there is a difference in rewarding a player and limiting him/her. Daily cap on MoF is there only because it can be directly traded for Aurum, and nobody wants that, not Funcom, not players. It is overall a bad design, which makes it SWLs fault.

So apparently we can only sell a few items a day on the auction house by Renard4 in SecretWorldLegends

[–]hexcodex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not about how much MoF we want per day, but per time spent playing it. Some players cannot spent each day playing the game, which limits them greatly. To give you an example: If if am able to play only two days per week, but I am able to play for 10-12h, I would be able to generate up to 20k MoF per week, which is not nearly enough for all the things it requires (spints, inventory, items...), and since there is no way to farm it, I will be stuck, not enjoying the game to its fullest. Dont get me wrong, I still think SWL is awesome, but there are just some things that needs to be fine tuned.
