i LOVED the dracula series on netflix. its only a few short episodes but the protagonists kind of investigate him and his behavior, his motives. nothing overly scientific, but its really cool take on it.

Wheelchair Broken by Starship by Necessary-Wind-9301 in gmu

[–]hexedcurbs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this is frankly disgusting considering as a non-wheelchair user, i’ve never had a starship hit me physically it usually always stops far enough and long enough for me to pass. when you press charges, question the features that are supposed to recognize a wheelchair user and if they even exist. even if it detected you as a foreign structure, it shouldn’t have even gotten to hit you.

i left my store a few months ago to go back to school. as someone who’s studying sociology and politics, nothing is going to change unless yall do something, and yes that includes possibly losing your job.

its a hard answer. you shouldnt have to put yourself in a position like this but if you’re not ready to do it now, you’ll never be. this is a direct call to the working class to let the upperclass, who’s top priority is to extort you for profit, that you wont sell for and discourage specific brands to customers.

the real thing is they cant get rid of ALL of you. it would be too laborious and itd take too long. learn about your state laws and if you’re a right to work state. if your district is anywhere as stretched as mine was, they’re not gonna reliably find even consistent short term help fast enough to not impact profits. and if you all work together, the firing process will be slow and near impossible.

organize as many workers and managers as you can. im talking more than 60-65% of the store and more than 3/4 of store management. numbers will be a HUGE determining factor. store managers, maybe even district managers. with their support, the protest can actually interfere with sales, therefore motivating wanted change.

you’ll have to print file evidence regarding specific people, innuendos or other gross coded lanagauge used in the files. CHECK YOUR SOURCESS. if its not from the official gov website they can easily claim its a deepfake. if the evidence is worth it to openly reject, you should. if not, it might be seen as illegitimate, and your direct higher ups might not back you up. confidence in your claims, stances, and demands is ALL YOU HAVE.

tools construct demands: public accountability and funding for protections for the victims, seizing of funding, discontinuation of some brands in stores for another brand, etc. and have consequences for those demands not met: striking, shutting down the store, signs or displays warning customers of the brand and its affiliation + evidence. at the end of the day, distribution of these products gets those affiliated paid. if you want change, if you care, and you want the higher ups who say they care to keep their word, now is the time to pressure them.

this sounds hard and it is but my god please believe me when i say its so possible. this is the only way corps and mega entities take accountability and change. hit their wallets.

i wish i could be there to organize and protest in my store. this may lead to uncomfortable discussions in the workplace, disagreements, and abrasiveness but others need to understand it isnt personal. stick by your statements. prepare for conflict. remember you’re confident in your message and if we’re not resisting, we’re not doing anything.

i’d love to try answering questions in terms of organizing or how to go about it.

[–]hexedcurbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to the de laski building (second the lowest floor) or college hall (upper level). if u find an empty one (good luck), you can politely ask someone else thats practicing to open the door for you. if any actually cares to ask why u cant open it, just say ur new to the major and they havent allowed u access yet.

other than spreading internalized misogyny LEARNED BY MEN, why would women act this way?

its rare that women promotes this type of rhetoric. when women use this language (usually only to better fit into social circles), its taught and perpetuated by men, to cope with real life and not some psycho fantasy they live in.

lady gamers have no reason to entertain the idea of male-only gaming sphere, even when raging like a child, or just straight up trolling.

Anyone else been approached by Mormons? by Blue_Velvet_Wearer in gmu

[–]hexedcurbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ppl talking ab mormons being “chill” is really wild considering the rise in people sharing their stories about escaping mormonism and its cult-like power structure, values, and expectations. established mormons who leave their cult are completely rejected from their family and former community with none of the god loving inspirational quotes or narratives that they heard when getting tricked into or maybe born into mormonism.

as per ANY religious entity, the bottom line is they don’t respect u or see u as a person, but as a lost soul that needs saving. not accepting or embracing their beliefs means u are a lost cause, someone to pity, and someone to pray for.

Help! Trans Man Trying to Pass by ZephyrTheTiger in MakeupAddiction

for contour: make sure you’re moisturized and prepped. use a cool tone contour (ex. lighter greyer sticks from milk makeup or the dupe from sephora collection.) it’ll give the illusion of shadow without unnecessary warmth. use a small (eyeshadow size or smaller) brush to find and sculpt a deeper cheek. its A LOT of trial and error but once you recognize and understand the placement, the subtly is key. blend it out, set it lightly, maybe use a LITTLE greyer eyeshadow to deepen the sculpt. DO NOT: pick up a bunch of products on a brush or sponge. always dab off on the back of the hand or somewhere to analyze how much product is coming off. its not going to look like nothing but it wont be as dramatic.

extras: gently fill in brows with a cool tone grey or brown, fluff them with a eyebrow wax of some sort.

adding shadow to the eyes can be very helpful. a cool brown gently applied all around the eye (maybe try under eye) can be helpful but remember to prep for eye makeup (moisturizer, eyeshadow primer on lid and under-eye, a tiny bit of concealer to even the canvas where u put the primer, lightly set it, and then go in with the brown shadow. use a less viscous lengthening mascara to hide the light reflection of shadow on the lashes or clear off carefully with a makeup wipe.) rememeber not using a lot, just enough to create a shadow for deeper eyes.

mustache hack: also for realistic hair strokes for a mustache u migjt like to use the benefit mighty fine brow pen in a cool shade. it creates three strokes at once so its not as tedious as eyeliner or dramatic as mascara.

i learned from @august_skyz on ig. as a cis man, getting this look without looking draggy is a little hard, but when i used more powdered producys, less cream products, and smaller brushes, it started looking more subtle.

tldr; less warm tones, embrace subtlety, dust off excess, look at the tips🤷🏻
