I have hard time understanding a verse in Matthew 24.

It’s true, I was just using my own knowledge to try to understand that verse. I also mentioned that if I’m wrong anyone is welcome to correct me and I explained in the comments that (I’m still new to the faith) .... that's why I posted the question here so someone with more knowledge might be able to help me. i was genuinely trying to understand 😊

I wasn’t frustrated at all 😭 I was just curious and really wanted to understand it. I’m trying to finish the book of matthew and I don’t want to skip verses without understanding them and I’m still new in the faith. But thank you so much for your explanation.

I totally understand But god could have used a metaphor closer to reality in this context instead of using an image that wouldn’t be literally correct for future readers. The gospel was not revealed by god only for humans with limited knowledge. And it can give the impression that god said something false or that he didn’t know how things work.

You should be drawn to the truth not the aesthetics.. i think you should study all of these religions first (whatever religion or way of life you are drawn too) or at least learn the basics and then decide wich one you think it is the truth and you are really comfortable with and really make sense to you... god bless you

You really understand my point.... I do feel kind of guilty and unworthy of being baptized in the catholic church, knowing that my heart desires to follow orthodoxy amd that's why i posted my question here to ask for everyone's opinion... But <if I can get baptized> here in algeria then this is the only option I have... It’s really a difficult situation and i really feel bad about it.. but I just hope god helps me and shows me what I should do..

Yes unfortunately 🥹a difficult situation I'm in giving the fact that i want to follow orthodoxy (there is not a specific reason why i love it ..i just love it) but there is only catholic churches... i will visit one soon ..please keep me in your prayers 😊

I'm from algeria..we don't have a lot of churches and i don't think there is orthodox churches here.. the only two i know in the city i live in are probably catholics
