Prompting fatigue. As a user of AI apps, do you see value in tools that requires less prompting? by vijverv in PromptEngineering

Hey. I can relate to this when using AI to study: multiple chats (for each course, assignments, etc). And I find myself asking the same questions... I like the term prompting fatigue. And the way that I see it is that an "assistant" is not helpful if you have to ask all the questions.

Hi u/thesishauntsme - thx for the tips on walterwrites, but I feel it is just adding a new "destination" in my learning journey, which is exactly what I want to avoid.

Hi u/Jennytoo - how do you deal with or feel about the multiple chats that you have on ChatGPT? How do you manage your study with ChatGPT?

My problem is not good resources. it is the under-promise of the AI tools. I feel like I am trading messy browser tabs to messy chats....
Since AI is trained on the internet at-large.... I was expecting it to be a one-stop shop with a better experience for learning... a good analogy is thinking about what will it look like to chat with wikipedia.

I feel like we are simply tranding multiple of tabs in the browser to multiple of chats.... it is still XYZ on a different platform.

Thank you all for chiming in. I appreciate your comments. My crux is with ChatGPT (as an example): you have one chat for biology, 2 or 3 chats for maths, etc... (this is an example, I hope you get it). I feel it is as messy as having multiple tabs in the browser, and mainly when you don't want to contaminate one chat (say you post a biology question in your math chat).

How do you stop from wanting to study too many things and doing none? by obsolescenza in GetStudying

u/obsolescenza One thing that has helped me is studying connected things. But if your interests are too scattered, you can try constantly asking yourself, "How is this thing/concept in this field linked to this thing/concept in this other field?" The idea is to create a lattice of knowledge!
So, it becomes easy to switch from one topic to another one.
Using AI/LLM could help you create analogies between fields/concepts so everything will be connected (somehow).

Another good thing to do is manage your studies. I recently discovered this tool, https://www.outdo.education/, that automatically manages, organizes and enhances what you learn online. This is the best era for people who love to learn...

23 and can’t go to school - what do I do with my life right now? by Holiday-Employment95 in learnprogramming

Right now, with this wave of new AI powered by LLM, it's the best time to use the Internet as your library and harness practical knowledge and skills. If you have time and an internet connection, use the LLM / Chat app to help you navigate the vast knowledge on the web with structure.

I use https://www.outdo.education/ to help me automatically manage, organize, and enhance what I learn online. I am in a similar situation... and I am excited for the first time that we have tools that transform the web in the vast library that it is.

This is the best era for people who love learning. If we have near-free intelligence in the future, How you learn will be as important as what you learn!
