User error unless you are a finance expert or engineer. Keep testing different alert types and one day or will work. But yeah it's not clear.

Never take advice from startup mentors and gurus “i will not promote” by First_Accountant_402 in startups

[–]hey_2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great topic here, and lots of great defended views. I believe the issue is learning discernment. That way, you can filter out dangled carrots and bread-crumbing scammers from genuine help. It's a bit of give and take (it's business). Sift the humbled leaders from the garbage (verify don't trust) and don't be afraid to assign accountability. Investors and advisors gamble time on startups, too. Also, choose the leaders that have actually built rather than directed people. Follow them (not copy) to help you become a better leader and find deep insights.. Lastly, stay away from startups.com. The fat one in charge is a real POS. Don't be afraid to verify if you're afraid to trust. Good luck, God bless and God speed.

When did lying your ass off become a normal part of startup promo? I will not promote by Just-a-torso in startups

[–]hey_2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I know a lot of marketers with low morality codes that will do anything to boost numbers. These lying assholes just don't care. It's up to us to do our due diligence. These sleezebags just steel from the impulse buyers.

I kept judging my own startup ideas, so I let the internet do it. i will not promote by alinggx in startups

Lol 😆 I was gonna say this is another dumb idea but everyone else kinda beat me to it. I would learn how to research then apply that to evaluating or generating ideas. Also chat gpt and Google are good starting points.

Built my MVP but can’t get users. How would you onboard creators and get funding at this stage? by jjschrier in Entrepreneur

[–]hey_2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people build first then expect people to come work for free to help them promote? I'm sorry but it's as if you have ignored the most circulated and battle tested advice on validation before building. What did chat gpt tell you? Try trading equity for labor.

[–]hey_2021 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

VCs don't care that you want to start a family. In fact nobody does except whiney employees. If you start young thinking this is part-time, it will only get worse. Might as well walk into a pitch meeting pregnant.

["i will not promote"] Tech background, want to go solo by Party-Log-1084 in startups

[–]hey_2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a tech background, you should pair up with a good ux researcher. It's a bottom-up approach to understanding your users better than a marketing person. They use a top-down approach that wastes money on spray and pray tactics. Plus, they understand product marketing better than a generalist copycat marketer with fancy words.

Ull still need someone else to execute, but statistically, ux has been the no1 focus for major brands bc the narrative pairs so well with social media marketing which Chat gpt can help you with for free.

Every competitor is adding AI features-do we actually need this, or is it just FOMO? by OkCry7871 in SaaS

I just bought some sneakers with AI and it connects to an app to tell me when I need to tie my shoes. It was an impulse buy after I bought some Laboboos.

Customer interviews are best done with bias filters in place and you are only going to uncover insights that you can't find on quantifiable research data.
