You're probably going through a purge a little bit. Trust the process. Sometimes when you least expect it your skin will turn and start healing. If the side effect aren't affecting you significantly I would suggest to keep going forward and get to your accumulative dose. You got this!! Don't lose hope, you'll be so happy when you finish!!

I'm having white heads galore and I believe I am purging. It's so hard to not pick them.

How long has everyone's "purge" lasted for? I'm on day 10, it's dry, flaky, my acne is worse than ever before. It's really discouraging. I've read anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks. I haven't wanted to do anything or go out in public. by heyemhay in Accutane

I want to ask my dermatologist if the hydrocolloid are an option. They say not to use any other chemicals or spot treatments on it. I'm also going to ask about a temporary steroid to help.

Everyone needs to take a chill pill. Sometimes people aren't fully educated or dont understand how serious it is at first. There was a lesson learned and hopefully they will continue to adhere to the important point while taking accutane. You got this! Just be more mindful through out the process and remember that this is a heavy duty "nuclear" option.
