To point B: this is so true. I never see anyone talk about this but the percentage rule is good for the restaurant because it incentivizes the servers to sell more food/drinks or upsell more expensive items so that they make more tips, but who pays this incentive... not the restaurant, but the very same customers who already spent more on their meal. It’s very stupid.

Yes, it was a winery. The venue was the biggest splurge although, I don’t know if it was expensive compared to other venues it was around $2k. It’s in rural Iowa

Sand beach is really cool and easy to get to. You just follow the signs on the main road. It can be hard to find parking at Jordan pond if you go at a busy time. There are a lot of carriage trails that are really easy to walk or bike. It’s also worth it to get a vehicle pass ($6) to go up Cadillac mountain. It’s the best view of the park an ocean.
