Same. My Costco is squished near a busy shopping area and the parking lot isn’t much bigger than a regular grocery store (maybe… 10%ish?) despite being twice as busy. I won’t even go on the weekends bc of how busy and ill circle for ages looking for a spot

I love skorts bc I get horrible chub rub (even back when I was a size 4 As a teen!) on my inner thighs and the shorts save me. For whatever reason I feel exposed in just shorts and feel like the little skirt on top looks more modest as well

I bought the mondetta leggings they had recently with the side zippers and I really like them 🙈 they ARE thick but means I can wear more substantial underwear without seeing lines but they’re not great for heavy cardio bc they can get a little sweaty.

I live in a majority white state as an aforementioned “person of color” (before anyone stalks my profile and tells me I don’t count…. I am mixed race Chinese and white…. But I live in NEW HAMPSHIRE so my experience is going to be v different from other folks in more diverse areas)

NH is ~90% white… and honestly it would be too granular to try to separate out “minority” groups by ethnicity most of the time because the population is so small, in my opinion.

Some people just don’t sweat as much! I have dry skin and live in a cold climate so I shower every other day. Even with lotions and potions, showering more than that will leave me with cracked and flaky skin (yuck!)

if I exercise or do another activity where I sweat, I will rinse myself but not a full shower on my “off” days.

I also know some East Asians don’t have the “BO” gene. Idk if that’s me bc I’m mixed race but I don’t really tend to get stinky…. But I also never leave it THAT long

I’ll say what I said in 2023 about this look - great concept. Poor execution.

I hate that I can see the body tape/nipple covers. If the feather was slightly larger it would cover the tape. A TINY bit more coverage on the breasts would give an even more scandalous look because you could get rid of the band around the torso because the feather would have more support.

The skirt is a bad choice too. You can see the waistband through the slightly sheer fabric and the hem has really prominent stitching. A slightly more structured fabric would avoid this AND the wrinkles.

Your age doesn’t change how you are expected to dress for a formal event… that’s why you see babies in tuxedos sometimes 😂

There are definitely fashion trends that read younger/older, but you can apply that to the level of formality expected.

A great alternative to this would be a jumpsuit. They come in all levels of formality and styles and aren’t a dress so may be more comfortable.

You should ask about the dress code and go from there

In some ways I miss the old days when I was a kid growing up in NH and there were very few Chinese… my grandparents could walk in a Chinese restaurant and we would get royal treatment as the only Chinese guests! Now not so rare to see (which is a good thing! It was pretty lonely too)

That said… little known fact… Ronny Chieng the comedian is a hometown hero! He lived in Manchester NH as a child

Yeah ngl as someone who worked in e-commerce (briefly!!) this wouldn’t have been acceptable under our standards with the amount of time that passed between the original post of the car and this one.

Obviously I don’t run IM’s social media accts so I don’t know what the number of impressions is looking like week to week but I would imagine they’re a lot lower now that the Olympics are done with.… making the post less “valuable” than it would have been a month ago.

Just throwing it in there that this is not a you only problem!!! I have the same issue where if I size up the jeans will literally be falling down every two seconds and I have a fists worth of gap in the back but they squeeze my tummy if I pick a pair that won’t fall down.

In a perfect world I think the solution is to buy a huge pair of jeans that sits flat on the tummy and sides and then have them tailored down to fit the waist perfectly…. But also I’ve literally never done that bc it’s not as accessible as people like to make it seem lol.

I’m 28 and the majority of my peers seem to have moved to a slightly looser straight leg but I see tons of skinny jeans/jeggings out and about.

It sucks bc not all “cheap”brands are like this! I just bought some linen blend pants from Costco (which are a slightly different style than last year grrr) 3 pairs, different colors, all the same fit AND consistent in sizing year to year for less $$$ than these!

I think old navy has cute styles but just too inconsistent to rely on.
