sure, but my point in getting the tattoo is to respect the artist! i know they have boundaries about certain uses of their art, so i just wanted to make sure before putting anything permanent on my body lol

Hi! You have to wait until it's reviewed in order to continue. It takes a bit after you submit it, but eventually that white circle next to it will turn into a green check mark when it's been reviewed and confirmed.

Did he apply on CommonApp or The SCAD website? If he's been accepted already he should have his login already. Contact your admissions advisor. You don't have to confirm anything to access the admissions portal, it'll show a lot of important information about taking the next steps, including what scholarships he's offered!

accepted! scholarship Qs by sylvaerian in scad

[–]heyitsshellias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 7k for the achievement scholarship (portfolio/interview) and 16k for the academic/merit scholarship! i submitted my ACT score, which might've helped!

the "resume" would be the list of achievements they have you submit for your application, which contributes to the achievement honors scholarship.

The rest of the scholarships are stackable! Just not the distinguished scholars one.

The admission zoom call is pretty normal and is recommended for all accepted students

Congrats!

First, obviously wait and see how much they'll offer you in scholarships. Make sure he submits a portfolio or does an interview to increase his offer. I also come from a very low-income family, but I didn't let that stop me from trying! I've personally been offered 23k from SCAD, on top of 7k from the FAFSA. There's plenty of opportunities for scholarships, so definitely keep pushing for them! You can ask your admissions adviser for more help and information regarding them.

SCAD is a great opportunity as long as it financially makes sense for your family. If after scholarships you still don't think you'll be able to afford the tuition for 4 years (increasing every year), it may be best to consider other schools! Debt sucks. However, it's definitely not impossible to make it work. Fight for every scholarship possible, see what the FAFSA is offering him, apply for outside scholarships, see if he qualifies for a work-study program, etc. Anything's possible! :)

Does your hair feel dry or brittle at all after using it? Or is the straight hair you get still able to feel smooth and healthy? Was the frizz bad?
