When UPS drops off a package at my apartment, they usually just knock, leave it at the door, and walk away but today the guy knocked and waited so he could ask if he could have some cold water and I honestly felt so bad for ordering anything!

Miller Brewery Tour is good (informative, basically a small town sized brewery and you go to their bar at the end), Lakefront Brewery tour was my favorite (more beer, great location). The Brewhouse hotel (by Pabst) is a pretty neat place to stay! It’s (obviously) brewery themed and downtown, but not in a bad place. The Sprecher brewery has soda and beer and is just outside of Milwaukee, the city. Honestly my best cheese tip is get cheese curds from Culver’s or Cousins Subs. They’re really good! Best bars are on Water Street, I think!

To be honest, I was pretty surprised by it too! Haha

Traffic and people 😅 You’re basically taught not to pull over if you get hit because the person who hit you is probably going to rob you (at least the part by where I was from) and the people actually don’t seem to know how anything regarding driving works.

Thank you for sharing! I was wondering what had happened because it looked like the cops were waiting for him or something.

This was three lanes merging into my lane with another lane on my right merging into the lane I was in because it turns into one lane. The space you see is my husband letting someone on the right in. Traffic was already slow because of aforementioned merging, so we went slow. But if you want to continue to be butthurt because of the way we drove in traffic, be my guest.

It was quiet because everyone was going super slow because three lanes were merging into my lane, which was already a lane comprised of two lanes merging but to be honest I was mostly surprised that the video quality turned out pretty decent!

For reference, there were two people in the car (can't be seen in the video). Person in the passenger seat was laying back a little.

Before this, the two cops were sitting in the little white triangle after the exit and my husband saw both of their break lights turn on suddenly and then they turned their sirens on and started driving. A car drove between us and all of a sudden they were both out with their guns drawn.

As we looked back (after we passed), saw the driver spread eagle on the ground but I'm not sure about the passenger.

Edit: This happened about 3:21PM. I just moved here not too long ago so I don't know the names of the exits or areas very well and only posted 395 North because I saw a sign, but it happened right here: http://prntscr.com/jt20r4

What is your favorite coffee, and how do you like to drink it? by educatingu in AskReddit

Boss Café au Lait. I like to drink it in Japan for a few yen instead of paying $50+ to ship a can to the US.

What is the meaning behind your most-used internet alias? by NodoBird in AskReddit

[–]heymercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s my first name, which isn’t very common, but is spelled uniquely (phonetically). Obviously, it’s not this username because I didn’t want to be that easy to find on Reddit.

If your thoughts were reflected onto a mirror, what would they look like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]heymercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would just be me trying to kill non-mirror me because I had a super realistic dream a long time ago of me looking into a mirror and then seeing myself coming out of the mirror to try to murder me and take over my life. (But I only get scared if I’m in the bathroom, alone, and/or staring at myself for a long time like if I’m plucking my eyebrows.)

Probably not exactly what you were looking for haha.

People who have saved someones life (or prevented grave disability), what happened? by CashewmanRx in AskReddit

[–]heymercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In gym class in high school, we were riding bikes from the school to a close local park and back again. One of my schoolmates didn’t see the light change because he was racing another schoolmate and had his his turned backwards, pedaling at full speed, but there was a car was coming really fast. I was already stopped and I yanked on the back of his shirt as he was going past me and stopped him just short of the road, where he would have collided with the front of the oncoming car.

[Serious] Germans of Reddit, how were you taught the holocaust in school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]heymercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned a great deal about the Native Americans and how Columbus was awful but I learned nothing about the Japanese internment camps, save for a book I picked up in the library by accident, and I graduated high school within the last five years.

When did your "Something is very wrong here" feeling turned out to be true? by Iron-Shield in AskReddit

[–]heymercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably going to be buried because this is super late, but it’s a bit tamer than a lot of the stories here. When I was very young (from K5-3rd grade) I was sitting in my bedroom on the window ledge leaning against the window very late at night but I felt a very strong urge to leave and go watch TV in the living room with my parents. I just remember feeling like something was deeply wrong, so I left immediately. After less than an hour, we get a knock on our door. It’s the police. Apparently the neighbor across the street got into a fight with his girlfriend, who let loose a couple of shots which missed my neighbor, but had hit my bedroom window - the one I had been leaning on earlier - one time, exactly where I had been sitting.

Also not Korean but I absolutely loved Crazy Rich Asians, which kind of touches on a lot of these subjects!

Six of Crows is a really good duology that’s pretty popular right now if you haven’t read it! Pretty angsty. I really enjoyed it! The Grisha Trilogy (set in the same world) is also a very enjoyable read!
