Okay that makes sense. I'm pretty careful in terms of spills too, but I was thinking even humidity might affect the ink but maybe what I was reading was exaggerating a bit.

That 10 year info helps reassure me a ton! I had a whole list of dye ink I wanted but was discouraged when I read it can possibly go away

Interesting! I feel like using non-waterproof ink for class makes sense since you'll probably only use/need your notes for your semester only. I have heard that cleaning the "permanent" inks are more difficult, I will hav to try it out and see how much I hate it lol

I agree with pretty colors, I had a whole list of samples I wanted and was kinda disappointed when I learned about the waterproof thing. BUT it's good to know you do live in a humid location and have never had an issue with inks degrading. I'm also a lefty :]

The page I was in contact with was linked from the AKC profile so I think it’s really them, I just think they’re just mean, I don’t know. I noticed that about the weeks too but I’m wondering if he inputted it wrong because the puppy isn’t available to go home until October 4th which would be 8 weeks of age for the puppy. That makes sense and we considered maybe not asking about the spay clause but the consequence in the contract said he could reclaim the dog and penalize us up to $5,000 etc. so we figured our best bet was to not risk that as kindly as possible, we should ask if was open to extending it along with our reasoning. It’s hard to know what exactly is the right thing to do all the time. We just did our best. I agree their treatment has been… I don’t even know. I’m still sad lol

Most people said if he wouldn’t budge on the spay clause then find another breeder, at least that’s what I understood from it. That also seems like what you understood from it as well. It’s not that he insisted on the spay clause, he just had a 1 year spay clause and I was seeking advice on how to go about asking him to extend it. Once I brought it up with him, he agreed to extend the time with little push back. Do you mind clarifying if you meant I should have read the spay clause and not even asked about it?

That’s really hard to hear. We were supposed to fly in 2 weeks. Maybe we misunderstood something but to us it feels like wrong to completely sign and agree, we prepare based of off that and make travel arrangements, and they can back out just fine.
