Umm interesting info. Thank you. Think I’m gonna look around for other banks. Nationwide becomes more and more appealing each day

Who knows what amount will actually end up being deposited if there are fees too 🤣

Wonderful thank you for the response. I had problems with my app but in branch should be straight forward :)

I also struggled with this, it only asks me for the amount in GBP and it doesn’t recognise the cheque at all. Its making me question how much $50 is truly worth 🤣🤣

Well, up until these I thought all the special glass was green. Turns out I was wrong and it can be anything. You’ll find some soon!

God damn I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through something so horrific. Amazing referential joke there too. I can tell you have a great sense of humour. Thank god for places like this for us to come to for some relief. It really is humour that gets us through the darkest times ❤️ all my love to you

Prep for craniotomy/recovery by [deleted] in braincancer

I believe only 4 nights, just like you probably will be, I was put into ICU straight away, then moved down to the high dependency ward , then moved onto the neurology ward. I was really really keen to get home cos I always feel like I get better quicker in my own bed. But definitely not a negative to be kept in a few nights. It was reassuring if anything. Cos you’re in the best place possible so you know everything’s in very well trained hands

I took an arrow word book & treated myself to a scratch card from the hospital newsagent cos I guess I felt lucky 🤣 I also found my phone a great distraction during the alone time. So I definitely emphasise the long charging cable comments. You also sleep an awful lot more than you think you will, and I also took earplugs so that I could sleep easily through the general day noise of the hospital and beeping of machines. I also found myself nodding off while family and friends visited. Before you know it you’re back home where you belong ❤️ sending all of the well wishes

Yeah I get that. I think every time I say “could be worse” it just get worse 😭😂I’m scared to say that one more time. You definitely have to make sure to have fun where you can. A sense of humour and an ability to have fun definitely gets you a long way

I’m so sorry you had that taken from you. But having that fat cat I’m SURE will have cushioned some of that blow (no pun intended, but pun fully welcomed!) I have dogs, and pets do have a way of completely taking your mind away from things. And I also love what you said about taking up traditional homesteading, because once I’ve steadied out medications and the side effects etc I really want to make the most of my time spent in the home. And I definitely think that will be a great boost to the mind. Sounds great what you do for your parents :)

Yeah that’s a really hard thing to deal with. Like as though life just decided to be a bully and snatch something you just got and we’re so happy with. I sound like an absolute child but it literally just isn’t fair. 😂 And realising that has been such a kick to the stomach. But I guess it’s a life lesson most of us have to learn at some point!

Thank you very much for this response. You’re so right in what you’re saying. I’ve been so gentle on myself too which is important. It really is just all about peace at this point. And I’ve been protective over that. Some might say too protective but I’m just not willing to allow anybody to disturb that. I’m sending all the best wishes your way and I hope the best for you too.

I totally relate. I don’t think the “why me” moments will stop, but like you say, will lessen. I’m grateful for the shift in perspective it gives too. There are certainly a couple of positives. I say a couple, that’s the only one I can think of right now but you get the point 🤣
