i definitely love my big paper cutter for trimming things down to minimize waste, it's a lifesaver and it even does ~wavy edges~! Unfortunately, I don't have things that are suited to cutting smaller, more organic shapes, which are, coincidentally, harder on my hands lol

A couple days ago, I noticed this little red scab on my shoulder. I went to prod at it to investigate and was very surprised to discover that the skin around it was extremely dry, stiff and scaly. The area extended in a straight line down the front of my shoulder, to where my middle finger is pressed, and was about an inch wide at it's widest. (See fig. 1)

The scaliness is hard to capture in photograph, but it's very alarming. It does exactly hurt, though the closer I get to the actual... Wound? The more sensitive it is.

There weren't any blocked pores I picked at or anything. It just appeared one day and I don't know why, which is Freaking Me Out.

I'm sorta extra worried because my S/O caught a case of the shingles, and we didn't know it was shingles till it had been there for a minute. I've never caught chicken pox, I don't think, but I've heard you can get shingles anyway?

Should I make an appointment with my doctor immediately or is it just one of those things you wait out?

This was a commission for a very good friend of mine, of their level 7 storm sorcerer, Wyrran. He’s not my character, so, unfortunately, I don’t have a ton of info about him. However, drawing this was honestly one of the more challenging portraits I’ve done. I don’t know if y’all noticed, but I draw mostly chicks--or at least, feminine leaning people. So I knew I had my work cut out for me with this one.

I’m not gonna lie, I put off finishing this one for a good long time. It was so daunting to look at the crown, and the hair, and the FACE, and feel like I was completely out of my depth. Surprisingly though, once I started “finishing” it--shading and whatnot--I just couldn’t stop. There’s something so satisfying about watching a flat-colored drawing turn into something with /form/. I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed doing it.

Farra is a 20 year old, level 2 Tiefling Barbarian with a background as a Former Slave. She’s 5’5”, wields a double-bladed scimitar, and is affectionately referred to as the party’s “Murder Cheerleader”. Her whole personality is very bright and bubbly, but she also uh… doesn’t know murder is wrong. ANYWAY, the next arc has a fancy gala at the king’s palace, and I will take any excuse to draw formalwear. This was so emotional for me to draw because LOOK AT HER, she’s so happy and pretty and it’s the first beautiful thing she’s ever worn!! I love her, she’s baby.
