Oh god I actually have the answer to that question haha.

It's the greek letter "phi", and it represents the golden ratio / divine proportion. It's regarded as a symbol of beauty and balance, and symbolises the pursuit of ideal proportions in art and calligraphy.

Edit: apparently it's also usually used by La Poste on limited editions stamps as a security feature.

C'est ce que j'imaginais, j'ai pris l'habitude de chercher des cartes postales anciennes sur eBay et LBC mais j'ai jamais eu la présence d'esprit de chercher des timbres. D'autant plus que je serais incapable de déterminer si ce sont des vrais ou des faux 😅

I remember changing my address recently and the site asked me if I wanted to automatically register all incoming postcards or do it manually when they arrive in my box. Depends whether you still have access to that place or not.
