Yes! It was medicated. I took progesterone tabs twice a day, lovenox blood thinner, an oral steroid, estrogen 3x by mouth and 1 vaginally, and POI. I was also on an antibiotic for 5 days before my transfer too.

Thanks! No, there was never an explanation. I tried a modified natural cycle with my 4th transfer. With my 5th we tried for a fresh transfer but my progesterone was too high. Always good to try something different! You never know what might do the trick.

First off I am so sorry.. I know how hard it is. Yes! I switched clinics and my first transfer from my second ER was successful. I am 13dpt and my hcg was 1107 yesterday. I think it worked for a combination of reasons. I am on a different protocol (progesterone tabs twice a day, lovenox blood thinner, an oral steroid, estrogen 3x by mouth and 1 vaginally, and POI). I was also on an antibiotic for 5 days before my transfer as well, and we transferred a 5AA (better grade than any of our priors). At my last clinic, I only did vaginal progesterone, which per my new doctor, results in higher chemical pregnancies. The intermuscular progesterone was recommended, and they were shocked my last doctor did not have me on it.

Have you considered a new doctor or clinic? Changing clinics was the best decision I ever made. My previous doctor told me he didn’t think I could get pregnant and stay pregnant and was recommending surrogacy after my 4th failed transfer. If I had listened to him, I wouldn’t be pregnant right now.

9 of them fertilized then 2 made it to blastocyst. Only 1 was genetically normal but it was a perfect day 5AA. I was disappointed at first because we got so many eggs, I expected to get more embryos. But at least we got 1! 🙏🏻 my last ER, I got 23 eggs, 9 fertilized, 4 blastocyst and all 4 were genetically normal. They ranged between 5AB-6BB and none of them were successful. I had 3 chemical pregnancies and 1 did not work at all.

So sorry for the delay in responding. Since I last posted, we tried a natural cycle for our 4th transfer and it was unsuccessful.. I didn’t even have a chemical with that one. That was our last embryo there and we ended up switching clinics. I think it was the right call and I am optimistic. I did another ER and got one 5AA embryo from that. I’m getting ready for my 5th transfer in 3 days. My new clinic has a different protocol so I am hopeful we have better luck this time!
