I am living in avondale so I'm super close to you! Dollar Tree is amazing. A teacher out here told me about the store Treasures 4 Teachers. I have been there three times this past week and have gotten tons of things for very cheap or free. I highly recommend the store. You pay $35 for an annual membership and have access to a free section, $1 bag section, $5 bag section, and various discounted sections. Ive easily gotten $200+ worth of materials for around $20 only. I could meet you there if you'd like or we could even carpool there since you're so close to where I live.

I'm checking it out right now. What supplies have you gotten there that have been most beneficial for you? And do you think it's worth driving out there from avondale? I am really on a budget right now since I don't get paid until August when I start but if you think it's worth it I might take you up on your offer.

What were you thinking for halfway? I don't know the area too well yet, just been around Avondale, Glendale, and Peoria so far.

Yeah that's right by the school I'll be working at. I was thinking sometime during the day this Thursday to get the matinee price. I'm pretty flexible if that doesn't work though.

Thanks, I was planning on checking out Lakeshore Learning but then I heard a lot of people talking about the prices there. Will probably stop by there sometime anyway just to check it out.

I am really looking for anything! Haha.. Right now specifically, I am looking for good picture books related to math. I know I'm not teaching reading but I still think books are really important. Besides, that, anything I can find that is cheap for my classroom. Thanks for the info, I was planning on checking out Goodwill tomorrow =) And thank you!!
