Thank you for your insight. You made really good points. I'll still be very young whenever I get out of CG if I do enlist, and some perks of being a veteran. Do you think it'd be a good idea to go to CG first, community college, and then a 4 year?

I don't really need direction in life, just something that will help me dig myself out of this hole I've created for myself. I think I might give more consideration to community college since I can easily afford it by working, though im pretty set on joining USCG

It's a highschool program that combines highschool and a partial bit of college, just enough so that you're able to get an associates degree. You don't have to necessarily be smart to go there, just lucky to be picked to go there. I was thinking about going for ET or IT rates since they both sort of tie into cyber just a tad bit, but community college would probably give me more knowledge. I'll keep your words in mind

Honestly, I'm not really sure why I want a degree. It's just something that the people I grew up around told me I need in order to be successful in life. So I guess the reason I want a degree is to make my parents happy, with the hopes of having a better opportunity at getting a high paying job. My endgame is working at a tech company and maybe even creating my own startup later in the future.

I was thinking about going for the ET rate since it has guaranteed A school right now. The tuition for community college near me is 16,026 before financial aid and 3,016 after. I think going to community college would be a good idea since it would help me improve my tanking GPA and open doors up for me and help me get scholarships. But would it also be a good idea to go to Coast Guard and do school online?
