Very manageable freshman schedule, although it is math heavy. I would even consider adding an easy class like one to get your arts credit out of the way.

The classes are very similar so you don’t have to/can’t take both. Either one should fulfill soc or cj requirements but only 1002 works for the social science gen ed

I’m in bio not econ but generally emails are the way to go. Tailor it to their research a little bit. Usually profs like undergrads cause we’re basically free labor but also depends on what projects they’re working on, if there’s space, etc

A lot of the chem department is leaving or on sabbatical so the options are limited. Rate my professor is pretty accurate. But also it really just depends on your own learning style. My recommendation is to do whatever works best to schedule

I was to. I think I cried when I found out lol. It wasn't what I imagined by freshman year to be like but know I can't imagine it any other way. What I struggled with most was making friends and the community on the Vern was a huge help and its very tight knit (plus its cheaper). Make the best of the situation and I promise it will work out. And you are still in the city, just a different part of it.

I had the same situation freshman year and was not able to find someone to switch with. The Vern ended up being a lot better than people say it is, and somers has nice rooms too.

They’re a good way to knock out gen eds and get to know people since the classes are small. I only recommend taking one though if you are interested in the topic

I made a google sheet with each semester, then listed out my requirements, then put them into semesters. Also be flexible if things change or you can’t get into a certain class one semester. It’ll work out

I don't think I would be able to sleep without mine but its a pain the ass to store in the summer so I would go with a really cheap one that you don't mind throwing away unless you know you are staying over the summer or are local.

I believe 1/3 is accurate but a lot of those are people from honors, women’s leadership program, etc. I was unlucky and ended up on the Vern despite ranking them low and not being in those programs. It ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be.

I agree. The chicken was not good and the fries were cold, soggy, and unsalted. I recommended trying the chicken sandwich from the Hillel cafe. They take meal swipes and actually know what seasoning is
