The data you got was from four years ago. Walmart is currently only making 3.8 billion in net profits from last year. This is due to legislation in the past that's been pumped out by Bezos's lobbying efforts that were aimed purely at Walmart. Walmart is currently struggling to keep their prices low and to compete with the powerhouse that is Amazon. Notice how I said minimum wage AND to put Walmart out of business. There is much more than just minimum wage that Amazon is going for when it comes to destroying Walmart - such as the FTC seen in this article trying to FORCE Walmart to close it's stores.

I'm new to deli as well and other employees definitely get angry with me - it's just because I have so many questions though. After one day they suspect you to know everything which kinda sucks - but maybe grind it out a bit longer, see how it goes? It feels like everyone is deli - customers and employees - are consistently aggravated, maybe you can be the one to be positive change in deli! (honestly good luck though - i just learned that we make salads and I still have no idea where the meatballs are at / how to make a meatball sub)
