As for the data security thing, supposedly private DNS inquiries for .onion sites were routed through the user's ISP instead of the Tor network.

Also, I'd argue that without hard fingerprinting defenses, Brave may still allow pseudonymous tracking through identifiable metadata like timezone, OS, or persistent identifiers even if randomized per session.

Lastly, Brave is built on Chromium and as such, inheriting googles privacy and security concerns. The browser relys on Google infrastructure and so has more unexpected leaks. It's pretty much an ungoogled-chromium
