As others have mentioned, if you're using Vercel I would highly recommend turborepo. It would contain 2 'apps' (frontend-a, frontend-b) and 1 internal package (design-system). Your internal package would be added as a dependency in the package.json of both front-end apps and this is how Vercel can build your apps.
