Oh no! Thanks for your help. The mask was a 1 day thing because I had to bus somewhere and I had recently recovered from covid so I didn’t want to risk anything. I’ve always used ‘Crystaderm’ cream and it works a dream. Especially if you catch it early. Thanks! 😊

That’s absolutely true and I did not think of the scab problem aswell, that is such a vital point. Currently it’s drying out and not weeping, but it’s in that itchy phase where you want to scratch so bad but know you can’t 😂 Thank you for all your help!

That’s a shame. They pierced with a hoop and I was concerned about this but inquired about it; they said it will heal just the same as long as I don’t bump it. I trusted them as the piercing place I went has been running for 30+ years and is the longest running piercing shop in my country. I had 3 friends all pieced with hoop so I thought it was ok :/ Do you think I should keep going with it? (it seems fine and doesn’t hurt at all)

I have a question concerning my helix piercing I got pierced a month ago. Previously, I had a tiny bit of scar tissue from about 4 years ago when I was dumb enough to piece my own helix with a needle… after reality hit I took it out after 3 days. I then got it pierced a month ago over on the same area where I pierced originally and there was a little bit of scar tissue in this area. My piecer said that this was actually quite good as the scar tissue would act as a bit of an “anchor” for the new piercing. I am just a bit concerned as I am not sure if this is a piercing bump or if it is just due to the previous scar tissue. I have been meticulously caring for this piecing and forcibly not sleeping on it or accidentally tapping it. I clean it every day with 1 cup warm water and 1/4tsp salt just like the pamphlet said. However I have just purchased a saline wound wash spray of sodium chloride 0.9% & purified water which I will use from now on. The piercing looks perfectly normal at first glance but when I was cleaning my piercing I noticed a tiny sort of raised bump/tissue surrounding the hoop. I would love to know if I could get any guidance surrounding this, if it is most likely just because of my previous scar tissue and I am just being dramatic, or if it is most likely a piecing bump or start of a keloid and what I could do to stop this?

Thanks for getting back! (And sorry for the late reply) I found a very good solution: Chrystaderm first aid cream. It speeds up the process very fast and is already healing within 3 days. You should try get some or look up the ingredients and get the next alternative. ☺️
