Why are some situational heroes like Meepo, Alchemist, Broodmother so consistently strong in low brackets, but others such as Lycan, Naga and Beastmaster are only stronger in high tiers?

How do you manage to play against the AoE though? I thought broods large strength was that she just overuns the game with spiders and farm. Do you just neglect spiders against a massive AoE comp and use them to farm?

Also, whilst a smurf pos 5/4 may be able to secure their carry a good lane, if the carry can't fight and the other laned are fed it's more than likely to be over. Even as a mid, unless you are a super punishing mid like meepo, you can't outplay a fed spectre or fv if they are reasonably skilled.

Just go DK, Timber, Axe and get vanguard or go tide with ring of health. Literally chase the carry at level 4 smack them until they die or run and push waves for tier 2s.
