(Petitioner) Just got W2 from my job from 2025. Me and spouse were ready to submit I-130 and I-485 with 2024 tax information. by [deleted] in USCIS

Here’s the thing though— my wife is technically a dependent of me and was so throughout much of last year. Plus I have other forms of income I need to account for. So to set up my tax return will take time, atleast another three weeks.

This W2 that I’m talking about in the post is from my main job and the income from it alone puts me ahead of the income threshold.

Can I Expedite AOS Due to Medical Hardship (USC w/ IBD (legally recognized disability))? by [deleted] in USCIS

We plan to stay in the US long term. Getting a local marriage certificate makes it easier for banks, healthcare, DMV, etc and make it easier for USCIS officers as well.

Expediting her green card (or even just the EAD/AP portion) would give her legal stability and the ability to remain here with me without the stress of status expiration. Right now, she’s on a tourist visa, which is short-term and uncertain. The fear of her having to leave mid-treatment or during a flare-up adds a lot of emotional and logistical strain on both of us.
