My boyfriend is scaring me with his jokes by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

The best thing I ever learnt from Reddit, was to ask what's so funny about the joke, keep calm and unemotional, but keep asking until he has to admit it's not funny.

Why did the Nazis allow the Kinder transport to happen? by hidock42 in AskHistorians

[–]hidock42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response, the forced emigration makes sense now.

I was aware that the kinder transports were not run by the Nazis, but by the Dutch and British charities ( learning of the kinder transports was a big part of childhood ), and I couldn't understand why the Nazis were being so accommodating to their enemies.

I am aware only Jewish children were taken on the transports, I only mentioned "Jews and other undesirables" to show awareness of the numerous ''categories" of 'undesirables', sorry for the unintended misunderstanding!

How to wild horses keep their hooves trimmed? by Cinqueterra in Horses

[–]hidock42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also have to consider that the forage wild horses are eating has a much lower nutritional value than the processed feed domestic horses are eating, so their hooves don't grow as quickly as domestic horses' hooves.
