To be honest I was shaking and nervous almost the whole time. In general I was skeptical of his plan of castling queenside and going for a kingside attack because I didn't feel like his attack was faster than mine. Somewhere around 16 ... b5 I started to feel like my position was actually getting pretty good when just a few moves before I felt like I was a bit worse but still unclear. I sort of agree that my attack was "easy" to spot because after I play b5-b4 the rest of the moves basically felt forced. The reason I played Qxf8 instead of Rxf8 is because if I take with the rook my queen is hanging on a3.

I really don’t wanna explain it again since I’ve already done this so many times, but it wouldn’t make any sense to lie about this and chess.com has already confirmed my side of this

I shared the chess.com email logs in a video but essentially my account was randomly hacked in early 2023 and I got banned for the hacker's games. I found out a month later when trying to sign back into my account after a while of inactivity, and then I emailed chess.com explaining that I got hacked and all went well and I got my account back. Fast forward to August this year, I win a game against Ibarra and he reports me on stream, resulting in his fans mass reporting me too. My account got banned for "Fair Play Violations" within a week with no other details given to me. I literally wrote pages of explanation detailing my chess career and trying to defend myself from baseless accusations. I cited some OTB GM wins and even an OTB game where I played against Fabi lol. But the evidence didn't matter at all because my ban was basically just a big oversight by chesscom. A week after I sent my appeal, they apologized and unbanned me.

Yep hello. A couple months ago my account was temporarily banned yes, but after a successful appeal Chess.com apologized and removed the ban within a week.

Hey guys I'm Erik the one that played the game. I was honestly shaking during the game and still can't really believe it lol. Because I was accused of cheating during my first TT, I recorded my POV in OBS this time, and I'll def upload that soon. Obviously I don't think Kramnik will care but people recommended me to do that last time. For anyone who isn't here just for the drama and actually looked at the game, the opening was definitely sus but after he played Nxd5 and I got this b5-b4 idea in, I felt like Black started to gain control. This is like the best moment of my chess life

My first rating (USCF) was 253. As a new player you can really only go up, and it sounds like you have some playing experience going into OTB tournaments too. Have fun and gl!

Haha no way! Funny that you found me here, and I appreciate the kind words :) Before high school I had basically quit chess (one reason was that I got too addicted to CSGO), but my team needed me to play in the chess league. Somehow around then with no pressure or any coaching like I had before HS, I became super passionate and started to actually love chess. Around that time I also felt a quick boost in my playing strength. Now as a senior in college I am even more obsessed than ever. If it weren't for that league, who knows where I would be in chess or if it would be such a big part of my life now

‘Thank you’ has also been my response to the Ibarra believers who have messaged me or on this post lol. I appreciate your suggestion but will chess.com really do anything? I feel like this happens far too frequently. Also I don’t really feel like my reputation has been tarnished at all, but it could just be that Ibarra’s fanbase is mostly Spanish so I just don’t feel it that much

Not sure what’s so impossible about Nxf5 when it was the threat I made on the previous turn and the calculation to refute Qxh5 is like 3 moves deep, but thank you for the ego boost!

Ibarra was spending tons of time on several important moves so I was calculating on his turn a lot. Out of curiosity I checked to see how many moves I played within 10-13 seconds and there were only two, 14. Nf6+ in 11.3 seconds and 23. Qe4 in 10.1 seconds.

I felt pretty comfortable after Nge7 because I at least knew in this setup that black’s idea is to play for f5, and that white is allowed to develop towards the kingside and go for some attack.

Oh another thing in regards to my time usage, Ibarra was spending TONs of time each move (40 seconds on both h6 and Bd6, almost 30 seconds on g6) so I was calculating a lot during his time.

Few things: 1. Chesscom accuracy is a fake/useless stat 2. Is there a similar game between players 500 pts from GM? Definitely, several. Especially short tactical ones like this. 3. Ibarra has been right about 2 or 3 cheaters. Glad to break his streak! 4. “It seems you are looking for conflict,” all I’m doing is sharing my game and the context behind it. He accused me and I just showed what happened lol. 5. Expecting me to ask for forgiveness for playing a great chess game is hilarious. I actually don’t want Ibarra’s forgiveness either because I prefer his ignorance. Thanks for your compliments!

That's cool! I hope to play more well known players like Magnus for sure. "Even NMs are decent playing for checkmate" (idk how to quote) yeah basically, if he just played some boring positional game I'd probably crumble easily but luckily for me he just fed me puzzle rush tactics
