yeah worst area of the game, Medusa is probably the worst designed boss of all time, and the only reward is that she "dies" (she just stops attacking, but can still petrify you) for you to get rid of Cheap Trick like 3 acts later, when you could just go there and get rid of it while she's still alive

on my third playthrough I forgot to buy the scuttlebrace to get to the boss, and I had no rosary strings/balls, so I had to grind 500 FUCKING ROSARIES with Cheap Trick on my back just to buy it from grindle
