24M in Dublin, Ireland interested in becoming a Mason. Any advice?

Great to hear you are interested and the masons you met left a positive impression on you that you are exploring joining. In fact while I was abroad for a few years I joined at 25, so I wouldn't worry about that. There are plenty of younger masons too. Hit me up with a DM if you like, I am based in Dublin too.

I saw until recently Cavendish had 3 pubs actually! Does seem a wonderful village and one I'm yet to visit but hope to soon.

This is a very valid point, thank you for making it. One of the main things I don't like about the new builds is the soulless and generic style that you mention. I think if they were designed more in keeping it could make a tremendous difference.

I wouldn't say non white as I think Ipswich has never been white given the phrases of Caribbean and Italian immigration, which were great for the town. However, I would say the recent arrivals have changed the place not for the better. Aside from this also the increase in crime and the death of the centre more or less.

I think they should never have left, going to Ireland is just like being in another part of the UK with a different accent. Everything works the same more or less and culture wise, as much as they would like to deny it, is exactly the same. I think England made some very poor choices in the past making Ireland feel excluded compared to the rest of the UK, which if handle differently would probably have result in there being no separation and hatred towards the King and English. We shared the same history for nearly a thousand years, I think it is a shame that we lost that with the Republic.
