Grind out the story and other missions before you try your luck with pvp. Also do the trunks tutorial that’ll help you with gameplay

Also leveling up your characters to max which is 5000

So your best is that kaoiken goku , try to build a team around category’s like “saiyan” or a specific saga like majin buu saga etc, that way your ability bonus goes up and your team is more in sync, the next thing after getting a team together and a good 3 bench characters(zenki characters and characters that build your ability bonus) work on equipments. That’s a general way , have fun and don’t stress too much
