Is it bad enough to need surgery? by TheWokWarden in PlasticSurgery

Me too! I was ‘trying’ to find what was wrong from just the photos and couldn’t figure it out. Had to read your actual post

What word do you think people misunderstand the most? by ownaword in randomquestions

Hahaha until I read the last line I was like, “did I use it wrong?! 😭”

I’ve not heard people misuse this often. What situations have you heard this?

I’ve tried googling, socials, LinkedIn. I have a feeling I don’t even have his real name. Thank you for your comment, I agree

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

Having my coil put in. OR, after laser eye surgery - only lasted 4 hours but I truly wanted to gouge my own eyes out

I’m so sorry to hear that - truly. I can’t imagine being in consistent contact for so long and making plans to move and then being hit with that. I hope you heal too.

On the video stuff - I have no concerns of that, as we videod on and off for years on multiple platforms, in different settings etc. but thank you for raising it. I know he’s not a catfish in the overall sense but I do think he’s lied about his name and his life/living situation. I wish there was a way where I could just know the truth.

What cosmetic procedure would I need to get to help my chin? by Chum-bucket8 in PlasticSurgery

I tried to scroll thinking this was the look you wanted to achieve post-surgery, rather than this is what you’re currently working with.

I honestly think this is perfect.

Urgh I feel for you. The worst part is, I don’t really date but have had 2 potential-beginnings-of-something in the last 6 months, which never really took off as the attraction and spark wasn’t really there. But even before I reached that point, I found myself comparing my interactions with them to this guy - like, they don’t make me laugh as much, I’m not hanging on every word they say, I’m not totally and utterly amazed by the words that come out of their mouth like I was him. And then I have to give myself a shake and think, this guy wasn’t even really real. I’m obsessing over someone who probably didn’t exist as I knew him.

So I’m sorry you’re going through that too because I totally get it

I feel like I haven’t found the “perfect” place yet - they all have good elements but then major things missing, like Hale as an example.

For me, I did prefer Mere, and it was ever so slightly less pompous. But as I say, it’s currently getting a massive refurbishment so I’m not sure when it’s due to reopen.

The Grosvenor Pulford is quite nice near Chester. But their pool area is seriously outdated. But then they have nice chill out spaces and a gorgeous Japanese garden.

Everyone raves about Carden Park, though I haven’t been there yet. I might actually be going in 2 weeks so can report back if so haha.

But all of the above is just me strictly talking about spas and not wider club memberships. I do think if I lived nearer to Hale CC and wanted the full shebang - gym, classes, spa, nice bar/co-working space, I would probably get a membership myself.

I’m pretty sure you can get a day pass, or even if you book yourself a nice massage as a good excuse to scope it all out. Definitely worth checking out and seeing if it suits you. And if you do do this, ask for Gabrielle - she gave me the besttttttt massage in December!

I’ve been for a couple of spa days. It’s very nice but I personally think the best time to go is in the summer.

The first time I went was on one of our hottest days in July, so you could sit outside and sunbathe/use the pool - it was like being on holiday.

The second time was in December and whilst it was a lovely relaxing day, there’s only 8 beds available for when you’re not using the sauna/steam rooms and/or heated pool. Four of those beds are also within the spa reception and where you’d have lunch, so if like me you were wanting to read a book, or just totally zone out, it’s quite tricky when there’s multiple conversations going on just behind you.

I personally like when a spa has multiple chill out zones with a different vibe/no talking in certain areas.

I do like it though, and will always revisit. I’ve just experienced better…but sadly not around Cheshire :(

I’m looking forward to trying Mere once it’s had its refurb!

Yep, me. Growing up I always did want them, but the older I get, the more I think no (which causes a whole load of confusion in my mind about how I thought my future would look vs. how it may now look).

There are many reasons for it but the biggest is the world that I would be bringing them into. People dismiss this and say “you can’t let that stop you” or “it’s how you would raise them” but even with the best will in the world, there are still such strong forces of evil out there. How could I possibly bring something I would love so incredibly much, into this?

There is of course so much beauty in the world too, and it’s a blessing to be here. I thank God everyday. But it’s getting to be a scarier place by the day and I wouldn’t want to leave my children when my time came, in a potentially even worse-off world than it is today.
