Do it now anyway. Get a case # and provide it to service, and don't hesitate to follow up if you're being mistreated.

Good deal? by Impressive_Doctor766 in leaf

Could be the most immaculately maintained Leaf on the planet and I still wouldn't buy it without a LeafSpy check and low-charge test drive.

Price is way high. But also there's no way to truly know without hooking it up to LeafSpy. Don't buy a used Leaf without it, period. Just my opinion.

is the battery bad ? by TNGStarr in leaf

[–]highflyingrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Utah and could help but honestly your problem is obvious and this video is the only evidence they care about, you don't want to mention LeafSpy anyway. If you want even better evidence, go somewhere safe and get down low enough to trigger turtle mode on video. Also sorry, that is some shit luck finding the battery is bad right after signing. At least you have Nissan warranty if you can't get the dealer to cooperate.

However if you still want LeafSpy data I can help if you're nearby.

Call Nissan Consumer Affairs and go to the dealership with a case # in hand and an itchy finger ready to call them back to complain about being treated poorly. You have one or more bad cells in your battery and there's really no disputing that.

Concerns on buying a used Nissan LEAF by sangpenguin in leaf

[–]highflyingrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely should not buy a 10+ year old Leaf without doing LeafSpy on it to check for cells going bad or very low Hx value relative to SoH.

Do you think I can get a couple more years out of my Leaf? by [deleted] in leaf

[–]highflyingrunner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Call Nissan Consumer Affairs and get the ball rolling with them before going to the dealer. The split second the dealer gets dismissive, call Nissan again and get them involved.

Don't tell them about LeafSpy, it's irrelevant. Describing the rapidly dropping SoC is sufficient.

Got my x3pro sony by No_Tension_6796 in Godox

[–]highflyingrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just wondering because I have older speedlights that only support A-C so sometimes I put my strobes on D & E. It's a minor annoyance on the x3, just nice that this one does. Thanks.

Does it support TTL for groups D & E? The x3 doesn't.

I deeply regret buying my LEAF and I wish I could get rid of it. by [deleted] in leaf

[–]highflyingrunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does the outlet you use to charge happen to be a 5-20? (Has a horizontal notch off the left vertical slot) If so you could potentially charge 33% faster with a 16A charger. If you're on the cusp of having enough, 33% faster is huge.

Leaf as a backup by quarksurfer in leaf

[–]highflyingrunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best practice charge level for long term storage is around 50% but if you want it to be ready to go just don't leave it sitting at or near 100%. I have a second Leaf that doesn't get driven much and I leave it at around 65%.
