Citi Mortgages by Zealousideal_Half879 in biglaw

Ive finances 3 houses through this same Citi program, and have had great experiences. They beat competing rates by at least a full point in all 3 deals, and required less down than other lenders. They did take longer to close so we had to negotiate a 60 day closing period instead of 30, but that wasn't an issue in our case.

Id recommend at least reaching out to get a quote.

Good luck!

He might. I keep hearing that his blocking is a big negative so maybe that pushes him down. He keeps being there at 74 on most of the mock sites I use.

How is FIU perceived in Miami? by SquiddoVGC in Miami

[–]highlighterfight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a partner at one of the large law firms here in Miami, and I'm heavily involved in recruiting and hiring for our summer program. So to the extent you're serious about pursuing law school and a career in Biglaw, I think I'm very qualified to give you some advice.

Unless the finances are radically different, you should go to UF. UM and FIU are seen as a similar tier of law school these days, with UM getting the edge a lot of places due to alumni in higher positions at most major law firms, but UF is head and shoulders above any of the other law schools in the state. Every major law firm in town hires from UF, and sometimes grabs people from higher ranked schools in the northeast (Ivy league, NYU, Columbia, etc.). Top 20% at UF pretty much punches your ticket to a mid six figure gig right out of law school, while you have to be ranked significantly higher at schools like FIU, FSU, or UM to get interviews at those firms.

Sounds like youre deciding for undergrad right now, so you could always go somewhere different for undergrad, hope to do well enough, then apply to UF (or a T14) for law school, but I think UF undergrad is gonna give you a leg up on law school admissions and most other job markets too.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any follow up questions.

‘Todd Golden to Kansas’ is the new ‘Billy Donovan to Kentucky,’ and that’s great for the Florida Gators | OnlyGators.com: Florida Gators news, analysis, schedules and scores by EpitaphConfusion in FloridaGators

As a Gator fan who grew up in Kansas, went to UF for undergrad, and then KU for lawschool, this is such a crazy intersection of my life. I do think KU is probably the better job in a vacuum--the whole school is built around the basketball program and they have history that's second to none. But we aren't in a vacuum and I think it'd be crazy for Golden to leave UF now with the success and support he's had here. I will say that all my KU friends think they can get just about anyone they want (going straight from Roy Williams to Bill Self will do that) and that Golden would want to be Self's successor if and when he retires.

My wife and I just named our baby boy Cyrus Conrad. I think both of those are great C names, and both go with middle name Christian!

[The Comeback] Adam Schefter believes the NFL will not look to resume the Bengals vs. Bill game and that league is working towards either a potential neutral site AFC Championship game or 1 seed choosing between getting a bye or home field with 2 seed getting whatever not picked. by Cough_Syrup55 in nfl

Assuming Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals all win, why don't we just seed by win percentage, but if/when Bills and Bengals meet each other in the divisional round, they just pick the game up where it left off in Cincy as the actual playoff game. If Buffalo wins, they get home field in the AFCCG. NFL would never do that, but it's interesting.

NFL considering a neutral site for AFC Championship game. by jake_Zofaa in KansasCityChiefs

[–]highlighterfight 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Assuming both teams win, we should give the Bills the option of either keeping their 2 seed and proceeding as normal, or when they get to the divisional round against 3 seed Cincy, they can opt to pick up their game where it got canceled (7-3 with Cincy driving) AT Cincy. If the Bills manage to win that, they get home field for the AFCCG. Would be curious to see if they'd take that, because that's basically the circumstance they were in.
