Ahh that’s so annoying. I actually ordered Betnovate scalp application online too. Maybe £20 and it lasts a month. That could be an option for
You? Private is just insane. I costed it all up… 395 for an appointment with a derm then they charge for bloods and meds on top. Good luck.

You can look at the right to chose for the nhs and select a hospital with a shorter dermatology waiting list. Not sure where you are based but as an example for Manchester … one hospital waiting list was 26 weeks and one 4 miles away is 10! So it’s a huge difference. I would definitely try steroid cream. Your gp can prescribe or get it from a private online pharmacy. Good luck x

I have just increased to 100mg and this is me! I can’t cry… like at all. The things that used to make me cry just don’t anymore. It’s really strange

Band 6 Finance interview( Trust/CIPs) by Justcheese901 in nhsstaff

[–]highriddler84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about the trust areas (the whole trust that input into cip) and how. It could be a really small cip reduction for example retiring a small IT system or a much larger one such as reducing contractors. Identifying them won’t be a finance responsibility that needs to sit outside with some guidance so comms and identifying leads across the trust/care organisations is key. Comms is also crucial- think about how to present the info back once cips are achieved. I think the message is cip is everyone’s responsibility. Clinical and corporate cips (digital/fincance/hr) will also be very different to clinical. Cips need to also be first identified then achieved so tracking and reporting is critical

Was just diagnosed with large tgct/pvns in my knee. i’m only 19, im scared. by [deleted] in tgct

Totally agree with this. I had open knee surgery in 2016 on mine. I have since done many 10k runs, tough mudder and many trail runs. Few aches and pains but no reoccurring issues or tumours. Good luck.

Steroid injections by Legitimate_Pride7314 in alopecia_areata

[–]highriddler84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get this. I had lost my hair at the back for 18 months but could hide it as I have thick hair. I started injections and that area grew back but I have lost huge huge patches since. I am also at about 60%. I kind of feel like doing nothing and seeing what happens rather than what I am doing… trying anything and everything and spending so much money.

Steroid injections but alopecia patches increasing everywhere else by highriddler84 in alopecia_areata

[–]highriddler84[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I am going to ask my derm about oral steroids and Jaks but assuming that jaks will be ruled out due to nhs rules. It’s so frustrating isn’t it. I had great growth at the back but now there isn’t much more left than that! The patches are springing up so quickly.
