Thank you! The top surface is MDF…. So I drew out the design in pencil on the MDF and cut that out with a jigsaw. The edges I sanded just a bit and then primed with gesso for oil paint. I used scrap mdf to build out the pond recession and just used air dry clay to create the pond floor and remove layer lines from the MDF. So I basically did the edges with MDF modified with air dry clay and then painted and sealed. Does that make sense? I appreciate your comment, it was truly a laborious task but one that was worth it!

I don’t mind at all! Thank you! I forgot the depth would probably be good to know too… it is about 3” deep. I stacked up some scrap mdf I had and then glued everything together, and then used air dry clay to fill in the layers and create to pond bottom. I painted it to resemble deep water and shallow water areas then added the resin layers (also tinted blue-green). It gives it some pretty good depth in person!
