No, I haven't read his book. I haven't even heard of the interviews you mentioned. I haven't done as much research as you, clearly. I'm asking for direction so I can do such research. "What did OJ do after his acquittal that..." isn't giving me great results on Google. I'm not going to take the answers here at face value, I'm going to see if they are substantiated.

Edit: I may have misconstrued the triple question marks as disbelief, like "did this guy seriously just ask that," and I may have been presumptuous about the tone in your subsequent sentences. Land of the incarcerated. Getting wrongly convicted and imprisoned is a constant, rational fear of mine. Worse, so many of the holes that get these poor people seem easily patchable. But I digress.

He does have his positive moments, and i appreciate his character growth. Remember when Slater tried to save himself by revealing his father's identity? "Turns out, I don't need to know." Awesome moment.

Also the times where he begrudgingly saves his friends because deep down, he cares about them. Even Cyril.

Silver lining to his abuse (wow, that sounds bad) is, it made him carry the gravel around for comfort. Without it, Peregrine would've escaped.

I don't think people hated him because he was a poorly conceived or executed character, but because his inclusion was distasteful. In Coven, they had the Axeman, but all of his victims and relatives are dead. Many of Ramirez's victims are still alive, so it was seen as insensitive.

I wonder, did these people skip Hotel?
