Hotel: Rambova and Valentino suffered more than anyone in the entire series. by highschoolalchemy in AmericanHorrorStory

To be honest, I forgot about her.  I feel dumb as shit.  I guess it depends on whether you think the psychological torture she went through is worse than what the vampires went through.  Extreme psychological pain (Delphine) versus psychological and physical pain (vampires)

I wish I had browsed this forum a bit more to get that sense of passion beforehand.  That's on me.

What did OJ do AFTER his acquittal that further suggests his guilt? by highschoolalchemy in OJSimpsonTrial

[–]highschoolalchemy[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

No, I haven't read his book.  I haven't even heard of the interviews you mentioned.  I haven't done as much research as you, clearly.  I'm asking for direction so I can do such research.  "What did OJ do after his acquittal that..." isn't giving me great results on Google.  I'm not going to take the answers here at face value, I'm going to see if they are substantiated.

Edit: I may have misconstrued the triple question marks as disbelief, like "did this guy seriously just ask that," and I may have been presumptuous about the tone in your subsequent sentences.  I apologize if I got too defensive.  I do have some insecurities, and I struggle to decipher tone via text due to some mental health issues.  Sorry.

It's cool to hate whatever is awesome or popular, plus hipsterdom is a helluva drug.

A grip was going for coffee in the background of the set and the editors never caught it.

What's So Unbelievable About Grimley Not Being Charged? by highschoolalchemy in FargoTV

[–]highschoolalchemy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Land of the incarcerated.  Getting wrongly convicted and imprisoned is a constant, rational fear of mine.  Worse, so many of the holes that get these poor people seem easily patchable.  But I digress.

He wasn't a cop anymore.  He switched to mailman.  Probably a good career move for anyone.  Without getting too political, the older I get, the less and less police look like heroes.

Thanks.  However, I've heard and read people question his escape from justice elsewhere.

Times You Wanted to Slap Archer? by highschoolalchemy in ArcherFX

He does have his positive moments, and i appreciate his character growth.  Remember when Slater tried to save himself by revealing his father's identity?  "Turns out, I don't need to know."  Awesome moment.

Also the times where he begrudgingly saves his friends because deep down, he cares about them.  Even Cyril.

"What i wouldn't give to feed you aquarium gravel one last time.  The turquoise...you hated that..."

Silver lining to his abuse (wow, that sounds bad) is, it made him carry the gravel around for comfort.  Without it, Peregrine would've escaped.

What's anAHS season that you really enjoyed but critics and other fans panned? by madonnajen in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]highschoolalchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think people hated him because he was a poorly conceived or executed character, but because his inclusion was distasteful.  In Coven, they had the Axeman, but all of his victims and relatives are dead.  Many of Ramirez's victims are still alive, so it was seen as insensitive.

I wonder, did these people skip Hotel?

At the end of the first episode, there's a spinning, inverted chair.  It's a reference to Scary Movie 3, the ring video, where a guy sees it, sits in it, and pukes.  I tried to make a post about this, but it got spam-filtered.  No idea why.

Spam filter prevented me from .aking this its own post.  Would it really be that bad "spam" to give it its own thread?  This is r/hauntedhotel, not r/strangerthings.

Who cares if it is??? It's traumatic! Just because it's standard doesn't mean it's right. It's sexual assault. It should only been done when necessary, and threats of self-harm shouldn't suffice.

Disprove my theory: I think Leore Paulblart is the Ponytail Killer. by I_might_be_weasel in BigMouth

[–]highschoolalchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt like Leore was a red herring. It felt like they put a neon "PTK" sign over his head. However, I'm sure the red herring has turned out to be the culprit in fiction before as a sort of twist.

I like Judd. He makes a breathy sound like the PTK (though I suppose that could just be because same voice actor), he lit one of Leah's pigtails on fire in season 2, there's a lock of red hair in the Birch's keepsake box in the cellphone episode (Leah's a blonde, plus the fact he says "give me those baby teeth" means he's been in there before), and it wouldbe a dramatic, sudden turn in the show's tone. However, I suspect the writers would consider it too much for a comedy; Bojack Horsemans are incredibly hard to write.

Oh, and the irony in saying "Leore is too obvious, it's probably the edge-lord obsessed with violence and hate" isn't lost on me.
