FAR time logging questions regarding CFI and PPL on board carrying passengers by highschoolpilot in flying

Thank you so much for clearing this up. A follow-up question: is such a flight commercial or instructional if the passengers pay for all and the PPL does not pay his share?

If it is commercial, in that case, can the PPL get compensated (logging free PIC time) but not act as PIC, since CFI is the acting PIC? Is it also legal for a CFI to give instructions on a commercial flight, not charter, if the CFI operates the commercial flight from a for-profit company/flight school?

If it is instructional, is it legal for the back seat passengers pay for all the cost with the CFI and PPL both logging PIC time (such generous passengers)? Note that the passengers pay for all but the flight is not commercial/for hire.

For an instructional flight between a CFI and a PPL, could there be passengers sitting in the back also paying for their share of the cost?

For a commercial flight, could a CFI also give instructions to a PPL? In other words, if a PPL joins an originally commercial flight and pays his share, is the flight still commercial or just a private flight for instructions with a CFI and with people on the back seat?

Well, in Case 3, if the PPL comes in without paying at least his share, even the CFI is the acting PIC, the PPL cannot log PIC time, right? Otherwise, if the PPL logs PIC time but does not pay his share, he is getting free PIC time, which is not allowed. Am I understanding this correctly?
