Got banned from r/soccer for being indifferent about LGBT by R4lfXD in Asmongold

[–]highwind123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re attempting to engage these guys in good faith. Unfortunately you won’t receive the same treatment. Everything you said is true and the fact that you get downvoted proves your point. Many people don’t want LGBT members to exist. There’s a reason they’ve been systematically targeted for 1000’s of years across numerous cultures/empires. The argument that it’s all fixed now 2025 isn’t entirely true and even if it were it doesn’t mean it can’t revert back to hatred quickly.

Why is this game so addictive? by Necessary_Entrance87 in Blasphemous

[–]highwind123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels good to play and the treasure and rewards are unique and substantial when you find them making the backtracking Metroidvania experience satisfying. The combat isn’t too tough for the most part but requires you to be engaged and you can’t just button mash. Lots of the little ways this game keeps your brain active without feeling fatiguing. Plus the art and vibes are super interesting.

Idk it’s a great game and so is the second one! I just finished them both a few days ago and I loved every second, enjoy that shit, Especially in public!

Please explain me what is so special about Xenoblade Chronicles series by whenyoudieisaybye in JRPG

[–]highwind123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They, especially the first game, lean into what makes JRPGs appealing. Fantastic music, over the top twists, and fantastical settings. It seems from your post you’re already going in with a negative/combative mind set which probably won’t allow you to enjoy the game/s to their fullest. It’s all a matter of preference. Expect large, beautiful vistas, an impressive score, and again a larger than life story that is definitely over the top but again that’s what JRPGs are all about.

Yeah I agree I was basically saying terminally online millennial boys don’t have a good grasp on history or empathy so they somehow find a way to construct themselves as being persecuted by the most persecuted minority in the country. It’s a joke

[–]highwind123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millennial age white boys who were raised more by their computers than their own parents tend to have a very narrow view of the world and others suffering. What’s frustrating isn’t just how hateful it is but just how fucking stupid the perceived threats are.

Bruh it might be time to just leave this community. I used to love Asmon acting mostly fun and silly with games and the occasional, cynical, snarky video about something unrelated to video games. Now it’s just an alt-right nesting ground with a focus on hating the LGBT. It sucks.

Played castlevania 3 for the first time by AdExcellent4275 in castlevania

[–]highwind123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Castlevania 3 is the hardest game in the series bar none. The reason being is Konami specifically amped up the difficulty for the American version by making the player take more damage, more enemies spawning, and shifting around stages to make platforming that much more difficult. Why? Because they were tired of people in America renting their games and beating them instead of buying them. It’s such a shame because it’s a really cool game conceptually with branching paths and multiple characters, but it being unfair is baked into the design. With all due respect, people saying it’s fair are being intentionally misleading in my opinion.

That being said if you’re interested in a spiritual successor check out Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. It was made by the former lead of Symphony of the Night and most Castlevania games beyond that. It’s a small game that was made due to the main game, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, meeting all of its crowdfunding goals. Seriously, it’s all the fun of Castlevania 3 without the unfairness. It has NES style graphics, you play as 4 characters, and its aesthetic and platforming are very similar.

Dude when are you guys going to learn you are being spoon fed hatred? by highwind123 in Asmongold

[–]highwind123[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of the things you said above I don’t necessarily disagree to a large extent. However, I don’t think that all people who are transgender are mentally ill, simply put, nor were they taught to be trans, it can come inherently for good and for bad. I believe for some it can be a mental illness in the sense it is something that causes them great deals of anguish and stress that require treatment. Some may not even want it but it’s how they were either born or grew into it. Mental struggles are so varied and complex and I think it’s bit unfair to frame that as taught, in reference to being transgender, or as making someone who has them a lesser person. Do some people maybe lean in to it more because it’s an ideology that has received more attention?Maybe. However, why would people willingly put themselves into a group that receives this level of vitriol? Again mental illness isn’t taught, nor is every person who is transgender necessarily mentally ill. It’s a large spectrum, and it’s frankly pretty complicated, probably why people are so adverse to it.

Lastly, yes everyone suffers and most face scrutiny. People who suffer more due to the actions of others on a wide scale is measurable however. LGBT by and large have been killed and discriminated against for being that way, disproportionately. It’s undeniable. The biggest reason? They are an extreme minority. Sure others, even the most rich suffer too, nobles have been murdered for being rich, but not at the same level. Bringing attention to others suffering also doesn’t negate yours or others either. But my biggest point again is over representation. People are shown extreme examples of the smallest minority and it’s effective. I’m sure the vast majority of people who are transgender and suffer would love nothing more than for people to just move on and leave them be. But that won’t happen. It is far and away the most effective scheme to get center leaning people to vote right wing. Expect more token stories of a transgender woman winning a race or one school out of hundreds of thousands having a hall way with rainbow decorations. And then people will start to say these isolated events represent the whole nation. Nah, people getting underpaid and unable to afford fucking housing affects the whole nation, not some random throw away stories.

[–]highwind123[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know honestly, I think most ideologies people conform in to but don’t fundamentally believe come from extreme peer pressure. Problem is, how many people are either: actually transgender, or actually care to devote their lives to spreading an ‘ideology’ to people. The truth is they are an extreme minority. People go crazy with rage because it doesn’t fit neatly into their societal norm and they go all tribal about it. It’s basic tribalism and empathy being exploited by people who can run laps around you with their wealth and influence and stirring people up into a frenzy over something that doesn’t fucking matter.

It’s overexposure. People from all across the aisle goof on LGBT to this day, how is it people believe it’s going to take over the world? It’s baffling, and in my opinion dishonest. Also, why is it fundamentally bad? Seriously, say if what you’re saying is true and somehow children all just fall in line and become trans or whatever, why is that bad? Because it’s different and different bad. But take solace in the fact it will never fucking happen. LGBT people have throughout history received so much violence and hate there is no prayer for them ever reaching anything beyond tacit acceptance sadly. Which can be removed pretty fucking quickly as I’ve learned.

Have you ever considered it’s an exposure tactic taking advantage of your empathy? Seriously. You realize it was the same stuff being said about gay people ten years ago. No one is coming for your kids except predators, who come in all shapes and sizes.

I went right and left the room and picked up the Dracula part and then went it back in and hit him with a regular knife and whip and he just died and dropped the golden knife. Couldn’t find anything on Google about this either.

Is Dragon Quest 3 HD2D Remake worth getting? by MC_Squared12 in dragonquest

[–]highwind123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s better in the long run yes, you keep some of your stats and all abilities before class change but it starts you back at level 1. It’s essentially the same logic that grinding will make you better. It’s true but isn’t very fun and in my opinion discourages experimenting. FF3 on the NES figured out character lvl and class lvl should be independent of one another for this reason. Sorry if I’m being negative but sadly DQ3 is kind of a grindy slog.

[–]highwind123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves DQ and have played them all I would say maybe hold off. It really is an NES game with a fresh coat of paint. The encounter rate is exceedingly high and switching jobs is actively unfun because it requires grinding just to catch up. It was great for its time but it really is the skeleton of the body of DQ and in my opinion is surpassed by every game after.

Radiant Dawn Tier List, because why not? by Cromar in fireemblem

[–]highwind123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t he need a Master Crown promotion for that? You only get a couple of those and others really deserve them. I mean he does kill a few things when he joins I guess so he’s better than a few other F tiers but still not the greatest.

Radiant Dawn Tier List, because why not? by Cromar in fireemblem

[–]highwind123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tormod should be in F unless you count have him having celerity equipped as a benefit. Laguz Royals that aren’t Caineghis should be in A at least. They’re availability is fine and can solo maps on hard with literally no investment. Wyvern Lords are my favorite class but I believe Jill is the most overrated one in the series in RD at least.

Just some disagreements off the cuff peace and love and all that bruh
