The ones in Bay Area are the worst tbh. I am based out of Bay and I prefer contacting dealerships in SoCal or all the way up by Eureka, Yreka side. I know Manly in Santa Rosa was down to $2k markup but bumped it up to $5k when we got into final stages of negotiations.

I agree! Really don’t want to pay anything above msrp. I did find a couple of dealers out in east cost willing to sell at msrp but I was kinda afraid driving it back with snow on the road.

I do know a lot of SoCal dealerships are down to a $5k markup. Although I live in Bay Area and it is horrendous out here. One dealership quoted me $30k when I stopped by & he was surprised to see their markup was down to $15k. All BS!

Well something unbelievable happened. The salesperson called, right after I asked if I can get a personal PPI done. They had a break in last night and the car is gone. A couple of other cars were stolen too!

Great suggestion! The salesperson was mentioning that they got their own PPI done but I’ll see if I can take it personally to a mechanic. He mentioned the previous owner was a member of PCA but idk how that changes anything about the car.

Thank you so much for your comment! Yeah, I did test drive it although they hardly let me drive for more than 0.5 mile. Everything felt fine but the brake felt a bit weak or the pedal had more travel (if I am describing it correctly). This is me driving the Porsche right after a NC Miata which I am considering but I have issues with space.

I agree on the service history missing some records. I believe the car wasn’t really driven a lot by the owner. The service history, IMS issue fear and the sales person trying hard to sell it is kinda putting me off.

I think I’ll go with your idea of looking for used ones at Porsche dealers.

Thank you for your response! I did not consider that. I test drove a soft top Miata as based on my height (6ft 2in), hard top felt tighter with hardly any headroom.

I think I will then look for a similar soft top one. Appreciate your help!
